Travel News
The Chinese consulate has implemented some temporary changes on the requirements for Visa applications

Due to the expected surge of travelers into China leading up to the Beijing Olympics in August 2008, the Chinese consulate has implemented some temporary changes on the requirements for Visa applications for the following categories: L-Visa, F-Visa and Z-Visa

Following several calls received by NATAS from members concerned over the visa requirements for Singapore passport holders traveling to China (PRC), we have confirmed the following with China National Tourist Office Singapore. Visa is not required for holders of Singapore passports if staying less than 15 days

More information on these changes may be obtained from this direct link at Consular Service or you may wish to visit the Chinese Embassy in Singapore website at EMBASSY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE.

Re: Macau or Zhuhai

If any bro can advise if travel plan is:

From Singapore to Shenzhen, then from Shenzhen to Zhuhai by ferry, and then from Zhuhai across the GB border to Macao. Return flight from Macao to Shenzhen. (Travel in May or June).

Is this considered as multiply entry to PRC?

First thing, I do not understand why you fly from Macau to SZ. Is there a mistake in your question?

Re: Macau or Zhuhai

Anyway, once you were out from the mainland, it's consider a single trip.Unless you have a multiple entries visa.E.g. from shenzhen to HK or Zhuhai to Macau.I guessed it's fine if you fly from Shenzhen to Zhuhai as it's still in the mainland. But like bro break78 mentioned, why would u wanna do that?

Hi bro, I meant from Macao return to Singapore, not Macao to Shenzhen. My apology.

Also, thank you bro Sex Crusader for the reply.

Really dun tink ur timing coincides with mine exactly to join up, unless u bring forward to 14th. Discuss when it is closer. Why are we talking abt June when we have not firm up our activities for May trip?

As I understand for the time being, in May and June, Singaporeans, as per usual, no need visa.

Hi bro 789550,

Thank you.Looks like we can not meet up at ZH in May. I can probably go there around 11 May for two nights.

By the way, when are you free for kopi?

Re: Macau or Zhuhai

Multiplies entry... as I read so often these days due to the new visa requirements set by the chinese government.

Anyway, for multiplies entry, it usually applicable to those who need a visa to get into the country. In normal situation, most people would do a single visit to a country based on a single entry visa. And multiplies entry allow you to be in and out over a longer period like 6 months, 1 - 2 yrs.

For singaporean, if your stay is less than 15 days, you don't need a visa. So even if you get out of china and go back with less than 15 days stay, you don't need any visa at all. However, if you are in and out too often within a short period, you probably have to get a visa for that because that would arouse suspicion on your purpose of doing that.

For tax purpose etc, there should be a set number of maximum days you can be a country so you will probably need an appropriate visa for that if your stay exceeds the set number.
