However, a bit of cynicism on my part.
Don't be too happy yet.

The flush of romance at the beginning will make a person blind to everything else.
Time will tell.
People change or they reveal their true selves when legal matters such as citizenship and the right to half of everything the man owns (in case of divorce) is locked in.
Then the demands for money to help her parents buy a house, her brother to start a business, etc...will come. Failing which if one does not pay up, there will be screaming matches and life at home becomes unbearable.
They may rip the guy off and move on to next victim.
Many years ago a shipping magnate's son learned his lesson too late.
Once upon a time, Abdul Razak Baginda also thought that Altatunya was a wonderful girl.

I think they have a dream.
And they are fiercely driven to get it.
Many get started in this trade very young.
By the time they come to Singapore, having run through the gauntlet ktv process in China itself, they are hard as nails on the inside.
They want to get rich quick.
They did not travel so far from China to be good friends with you. They hope to meet a tycoon or an ignorant tycoon's son.
But in the mean time, any one will do to secure the citizenship first. Then they can stay forever and make their financial killing, in good time.

I read your postings with several mentioning of this gal from HFJ that you hook up with. It seems you are highly motivated by the relationship; love is in the air thingy. While I am in no position to pass judgement or stereotyped your gal, I urge you to step out of this "comfort zone" and review things that are being said and done, including your own.
