ahem.
due to overwhelming demand for h24b's attention and dick, we have decided to screen all hopeful applicants before giving further access. as such, with immediate effect, all current unserve applicants shall be re-routed to 10 cc for qc checks, verifications, enhancements and re-packing (where necessary), before being allowed to enter h24b's office (that with un-stained black leather). it is also forecasted that kingeros que is getting longer than expected and therefore, similar procedures may be in place soon. thank you for your kind attention to this policy change. we are out to serve our guests with the best of our ability, and we hope u will understand this procedure is here to help u get their undivided attentions. many thanks 10 cc *cough cough*

As the plane took off into the skies, we removed the central divider between the seats and she snuggled up close to me and we just sat and watched as the land below looked smaller and smaller till we could only see clouds as the plane climbed up to it’s intended 30,000 ft……
Once it was safe to do so, we decided that since the flight was about 2 hours or so, we took out our notebooks and decided to get our work done with her being my PA for this trip and helping to prepare the presentation data needed so that we can be more relaxed when we touch down later. I’ll skip thru the flight and transit details as we were just busy with our work and slept thru the connecting flight from BKK to PVG. As we cleared the immigration at Pudong International Airport, we walked a slight distance apart as my Chinese business partner would be picking me up and he being a traditionalist, wouldn’t want him knowing about the relationship we had. “Harrier 总您好。好久不见。让我司机帮你们拿行李吧。。。这位是您的私人助理吗” “潘总您好！好久不见，您发福了!这位是李小姐 ， 她会协助我们争取到这次的项目。。。她其实是Matthew的私人助理。。。可是我把它给借过来了。。别看 她年纪轻轻的。。。可很能干哦！”

“你们会在上海呆多久？” “我们明天在外滩开会是吗？” I asked as the car pulled out of the airport and the driver making his way to our hotel in the Puxi area. The drive took about 1 hour plus as we made our way to the small hotel that I always like to stay. It’s a 3-star hotel with internet access and the rooms are pretty decent. (I usually stay 3 star hotel on business trips and I dun bother about the facilities except that the rooms be decent and there’s internet access) As the car pulled into the driveway of the hotel, the driver got our luggage out and I made arrangements with Mr Pan to have us picked up at 6.30pm to have dinner with the other business associates. We checked into OUR room and when we got in, she immediately hugged me and we kissed….. “ Baby, I’m tired….we still have about 45 minutes to freshen up. I’ll go take a shower first ok? Let’s get the proper work stuff settled first and we have the whole night to ourselves….ok?” At 6.30pm, I checked my tie, my hair and put on my jacket while she finished putting on her earrings and we took the lift down to the lobby with me carrying the four bottles of XO that I had bought at the Changi Airport DFS store. As we walked out of the lobby, the driver , Xiao Huang, was already there and e both got into the rear seats and he drove off, blaring his horn furiously….. “Why do they keep blaring their car horns?” “Oh…it’s like this baby…Chinese have one of the worst road ethics and also the most stooped driving system I’ve ever known. Did you know that when the light turns green at a cross junction, those cars that are turning actually have right of way??”

Ok here’s the next part BUT I really can’t remember the names of the streets exactly as my Chinese is weak….hope you guys will forgive me…I’ll just name the place according to the landmarks nearby…..
“Oh yah! Look at that idiot turning into that junction and almost knocking the pedestrian down!” She exclaimed as she experienced China for the first time. We got to the restaurant located above the bus terminal (to the airport)within 15 mins and was led to a room where the hosts are already there. “I will be sitting beside Pan zong and you sit beside me on my right, ok?” I whispered to her. She looked at me rather surprised and whispered back “You mean there’s designated seating arrangements for dinner?” “Yes, just follow my lead.” “Ok” With that, we were led to our seats and once we sat down, the cold dishes started arriving together with beer for starters. “Harrier 总，小弟先敬您一杯。” 潘总said as a start to the exchanging of formalities “谢谢，我今天刚到上海，很谢谢您来接我。我敬回你一杯。” “Harrier 总。。。” I cut him off by saying “别客气了嘛！我们一起做生意那么久了就好像哥儿们了！别再什么总来什么总去的。。好吗？， ” “那好吧！就听您的，我们大家一起喝吧！” “来，我先动个筷子。。那样大家就可以吃了。。” SHE was rather surprised as I explained to her “I have to touch all those dishes on the table first so they can eat or else the rest of the guys will only eat from the dishes that my chopsticks have started from…weird right?” as I continued “BUT that’s their custom and way of showing respect to the guest…” For the rest of the evening, we discussed how we wanted to go about with the business plan and also on our strategies for the deal while still downing a decent amount of beer. I had declined their Chinese white wine as I usually get rather stoned with that and I won’t be of clear mind…… (Bloody Chinamen must have liver made from dunno what, how come drink so much still sober as hell)… Anyway, as we had meetings in the morning the next day, we called it a night at 10pm…..BUT instead of going back to the hotel, I decided to get the driver to send us to Maoming Nan LU where we popped into, Manhattan Bar, one of my favourite watering holes when I’m there alone. We got in, just ordered 1 bottle of Johnnie Walker from one of the cute waitresses when the manageress there, Sophia, came and chatted with us. “Wow! Long time no see! And this time you brought a girlfriend along? Why? You afraid that I’ll fall for you??” “No lah…This is my girlfriend and also PA….we are on official business…and besides, I know you have a Hong Kong boyfriend already….Right?” “Ha ha Ha…just joking with you only.” With that said she turned around and spoke to the bartender in Shanghainese and I guess she must have instructed him to charge me my usual discounted rate for regulars…..

But based on the positive feedback here, you can mix fiction and fact very well, I congratulate you and hope your business is a success, or is that fiction?
