Two men went to a small hf joint, one in early twenties another probably in fifties. Dressed in simple men in the street attire. No one had seen them before, must be first-timer there. Sat down ordered a jug of beer. Singer manager came then offered to introduce singers to them. Two to three singers took turn to chat with them. The young man started shy and only played cards with the singers. After breaking ice, he was having a good time grabbing left and right. Then came PPC time, the young man hanged small flower for a singer. The older man hanged $1000 for the singer manager. After PPC, the older man had a song request, sang by 2 singers, up went $1000 each. More beer was ordered, another $1000 flew to another singer. More singers joined the table for a piece of the action. Suspicion began to grow as to whether these two first-timers could afford the bill. By then, the older man had went out on the pretext of taking a phone call. Closing time came. Older man vanished. Young man panicked, trying frantically to reach the older man on the phone to no avail. I didn’t stay long enough to watch the sad ending. I guess the young man was being used as the scapegoat. At least he had had his share of pleasure before the slaughter.

Moral of the story: Never go hfj with unfamiliar people.

(LOL no wonder no one responded when I jio ppl to go hfj.)
