That's loooong 430kms drive to/fro Bkk, for your social activities I like your 'open air' Sukhothai airport, very quaint and charming with open traditional style gates. Even have to take long buggy to/from planes on tarmac. Transited couple of times to Lampang on a Fokker plane with propellers
