Re: True Story

Why bro Harrier organise a golf game in JB ?? Some very cheap rate going on in JB.

Palm Resort GCC- RM49 per pax inclusive lunch mon-wed
Octville GCC - RM49 per pax tue- Fri
Ponderosa GCC - RM73 per pax mon-fri
StarHill GCC - RM200 per Flight ( not sure offer still on )
Daiman 18 GC - RM72 per pax mon-fri / RM55 with voucher
Legend GCC - RM55 per pax ( with voucher )

Golf NetWork card holders, you know the rate but I am not one yet.
Above mentioned are walk-ins rate.
Bro Harrier , I remember you were saying you Pulai Spring Member right but Pulai Spring very very ex so can forget abt it.

Using Putting Grip for chip only works for me when ball is on fringe and near pint usually choose to putt but if pint location is far, I will use resuce wood run the ballfrom fringe to pint. Chipping from like 20 to 40 m to green is the problem I am having.

7,8,9 iron from range of 90m to 130 is a problem. Understand down swing angle is to steep so will tery your suggestion of moving the ball nearer to right side of stance.

Organise the game Bro.

for 20m - 40m pitches / chips. Work on SW, this have to practise at range. choke down on grip, place ball centre or slightly right, distribute weight 60(front) and 40. HALF swing back using arms and hands keeping lower body still. once you've achieved the ball striking confidently, then proceed to choke up or down the grip using same swing to get desired distances. This action generates a lot of backspin and if using high spin ball like ProV will drop 'dead'. It works for me till 70m.

Other alternative is, if there's space to 'run up' the shot, use an 8 iron to sort of 'punch' the shot in a 'bump and run' manner...

7 iron ONLY 90 metres? That's a major problem.Average 7 iron from 130 - 160m. I'm hitting my 7 at 155 metres. Used to hit longer but changed swing for consistency...

I have to see your swing to determine the problems BUT work on what I've told you so far...and see if there are any improvements.

Hope this helps.

Ever since I was last in Cebu having experienced the living standards of the poor first hand, I have been extremely grateful God didn't decide to have a drink too many the night he created me ... or he could really have missed the little red dot.

BUT ... think I only good enough to keep drilling myself at the driving range - or I'd be the cause for you guys to clock your own record scores, tilting the cards in the other end.

Hmmm interesting....high cut power-fade???

My natural swing has a high ball trajectory, which is fine for mid-long irons where soft approaches required. However, recently a buddy (single handicap) commented that my short irons (wedges) are hitting too high. He advised flatter swing and less divot.

Any comments ?

Cheers, BM

I used to hit a draw but now after swing chaange, hitting it quite straight...

Actually, high shots for short irons are quite good PROVIDED they give you good distance cos if too high may lose distance or get caught by wind.

My PW gives me 115m-120m, 9 - 125m - 130m, 8 -140m - 145m (depending on how i wanna hit it).....use that as guide and if you can get these distances with the high ball flight...let it be....

Yep...about there. But as you rightly pointed out, because of my ball flight cannot control in windy conditions. Tried to play punch shots also tak boleh haizzz.

I suppose it's the consistency i shld be working on lah...not hitting the sweet spot consistently is my bane hahahaha. Anyway thanks for ur advice...hopefully there will be a chance to play with u BM

Work on your ball striking....once you have consistent strikes THEN work on punch or other aspects.

A piece of advice, calculate the head wind, take higher club and swing easy....the easy swing creates less backspin as compared to a forced shot. This would enable the ball to propell further and not get a 'caught' up by the wind.....

Re: True Story

HI all,

I'm back and guess what....there's a part 2.....

THE REUNION

It’s been exactly 400 days since I last had any form of contact or interaction with HER. But since it was her birthday, I decided to just send whip out my V3 (Communicator spoilt already) and keyed in the following “ Hi hi, wishing you a very happy and blessed birthday. May all your wishes come true” I hesitated for a while as I’ve not seen her for so long and hence didn’t know how she would react…..but after some deliberation, hit the send button and closed my phone.

As expected, there was no reply whatsoever from her and I carried on working in my office. Then, while waiting for a teleconference to commence, decided to just check whether she’s online in yahoo messenger and SHE WAS!

I, being bored and also kinda wondering how she has been doing, sent her a IM and the exchanges were as follows:

Harrier : Hi….Happy Birthday.

She : Hi

Harrier : How have you been?

She : Fine

Harrier : What are your celebratory plans for tonight? Dinner with your
Boyfriend?

She : No….nothing actually

(Ahh….finally answer that had more than 1 word…..it still felt kind of tense…so I still tread with caution)

Harrier : Hey, may I have the pleasure of buying you lunch / dinner
sometime to celebrate your birthday?

After some 10 minutes or so……

She : Ok….but I’m now working in Raffles Place…..

My face lit up when I saw the OK…which probably meant she’s gotten over me and could take meeting me again….

Harrier : How about dinner? When is good for you?

She : How about Wednesday Next week? I finish work at 6pm…..

Harrier : OK cool….your mobile number still the same? I will contact you
When the date is nearer then.
Harrier : Btw, what you feel like eating? Jap with Sake? French with Wine?
American with Beer? Chinese with er….TEA? Italian with Beer or
wine?

She : Jap…

Harrier : OK cool….i will book a nice restaurant with very decent food.

She : OK, gtg. Bye

So that ended our FIRST correspondence since the breakup and also since she BLOCKED me from her MSN and yahoo IM accounts.
