Sometimes, when I go overseas alone, I feel lonely and sad.
Don't these working ladies feel lonely and sad working here.
Can't they get to know normal friends with mutual respect.

I get piss off when they keep on asking for more $$$ and super "tu lan" when they give me the "Kind of Look" cos I die die don't want to tip them a lot.
It is as if we owe the gals money and they look down on us when we can't give them $$$.

I think they got infected with the Singaporean girls "Tau" and "bo chap" attitude.

There is nothing wrong with Thai Singers who want to earn more money. It is why they are in Singapore. However there are different ways and means to do it. Not to certain extent. LDs, Flowers, part of the package but not to the extent of fleecing.

In the pub, everyone knows they are the staff while we are the customer. Many out here say we should treat people with respect. Treat them like friends. Sometimes you really want to treat them as friends, putting the customer-worker relationship one side. Just treating each and every individual as a friend. But their actions make it known that they are simply not interested to be your friend. Even if they are, its because having you as a friend is advantageous to them not for now probably but for future when they need money. They just want as much money or stuff as possible.

You treat them as friend, but do they treat you as friend??? This kind of thing must work both ways not one sided.

In chinese we have a saying, MONEY sours relationship. Friends should not talk about money. Best is not to talk about it. When money comes into equation, the lines get blurred.

Maybe I am not a Thai and maybe for them, Friends are meant to be made used of. If what I said is not true, I don't see why these singers want to take advantage of others goodwill.

How much is friendship worth? In their perspective, it is not priceless.

in tirakship, there's no hard n fast rule that any1 is compelled/obligated to shower extravagant gifts for the partner. though we're familiar that the rule "no $ no honey" applies, but we also should be reminded "enough is never enough".

"give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime" i believe that we do not blindly splurge & give for the sake of giving, there's need to explain/educate the reciepient of some values/priorities in life.

if she luvs u, she'd appreciate anything u give to her, even if its worth nothing at the pawnshop. if she luvs your $, then her actions will speak louder than words.

bottomline, she's no ground to complain that i didnt keep my word.

That night after I sent 'B' off to airport, I went back to the pub.

As usual, the singers (male/female) came over and talk.

I know they the Khon Thais love to have face. No money but must have face.
So I start asking them, is it they are very poorly paid and their boss did not gave them money or their agent withhold all their money. They ask me why.

I told them if not why their singer want ask me for money? Is it my face looks like a ATM to them. Dumbstruck. I told them in Thai, we men come thai pubs, seemingly we think we are fishermen, come here to fish, but the true fact is we are not the fishermen but the fish instead. Keeping silent doesn't mean we are ignorant. They were surprised when I told them about how one of their members ask me for $1000SGD. Some of them start to feign innocence and said no lah they wouldn't do this kind of thing and 'T' (the one in the earlier episode) started by saying she has never asked money from anyone before.

F@#king BULLSHIT. She asked from my friend a couple of times for MONEY. I never exposed her for it, just asking her is she sure? She pleaded innocence and walked away.

These Singers when in Provincial Thailand, when they were singing, they do not need to come down stage and entertain or even drink with customers. In Singapore, they have to, doesn't look any different from karaoke hostesses to me. And a fact is they are no different, just that they can sing. So since they are no different, majority start to act like hostess.

IMO, Thai pubs/discos in Singapore have lost their lustre and appeal. Crowds dwindle. More and more coming up. Many of these singers no longer sing with conviction. Doesn't anyone realise that they sing better when someone hangs flowers over their neck?

Talk about TD1, TD2, JDee, DagThai, Cherry, Babyface, Royal, Geographer, Live Impact, Ibarr, Lookers and some others. It's the same old concept. Most of these singers can't even sing New Thai Songs from thailand and can't even be bothered to rehearse. They are just going through the routine most of the times. These happen when these people no longer have conviction in what they are working as.

Sad but the truth.

If she "REALLY" loves you, even if you dont give her anything, she will not complain.

If she "REALLY" loves you, she wont even ask you for a SGD20K dowry.

If the people who gave birth to them did not explain/educate them, in which capacity do you think you will be to explain/educate these values/priorities? No point wasting time/effort on them. Why not look at people with the right values/priorities, rather than on those without these values and still have to inculcate these values into their numbskull? ANd most often than not, who can say they have succeeded in inculcating these values/priorities in these group of people?

After reading Sc's close encounter of the tiger, i have this in mind. Maybe T has successfully gotten quite a bit of money from SC's friend, and boosting about it in the pub ( including B ). So, B may be thinking SC is in the same league as his fren, thus asking money from SC.

Actually if the girl ask for money, can give. But nothing is free in this world. If she wants something, she has to give something in return.
I am a very straightforward person. We have no relation whatsoever, give her $1000SGD? Can, provided I get to meet her and have sex.

If she cannot do it, then very sorry about the money, I give it to some others.

As for that encounter, I was pissed with the issue not when she asked me for the money but when she picked up the phone to call her sister. It was as if I owed her the money and didn't want to give her.

The 1st time someone get money from me, I don't give and her attitude is so damn bloody rude.

well, if the people that gave birth to them or fostered them didnt explain/educate them, they wouldnt even bother with values of having to support/feed them - the so called "filial piety". in reality, it doesnt necessarily mean that those who belong to the category of "ladies of the night" dont have morals & ethics either.

its easy to say that they have a choice, whether they want to or not, but i've also shared the other side of the coin before.... circumstances/situations, they cant choose.

in all your yrs of experiences with the thai ladies, surely u've come across some that never really had a choice. then of course, we musnt forget that there's a majority of those who plough the trade, who arent authentic thais... some of which mixed decendants/2nd or 3rd generation "refugees" from neighboring lands.

anyway, ultimately no right or wrong; u've your views on 1 side of the coin, while i've views on the other side of the coin.... i leave it to the readers to discern for themselves...
