I too agree with your statements. It's a dog eat dog world out there in the club scene. You can never fully trust the men nor the women despite the cliché "please trust me" and "I will never betray you".

Being a bf to one and a brother (instead of sister like yourself) to some of the singers, I have visited LV many times this year compared to the past 5 years add together. These gals will not bat an eyelid to purchase a $1k+ shoe or a $2k+ bag, simply because the shopping trip is sponsored by their men or some airheads (I admit I am one too), who probably can't be seen shopping in Orchard Road with them. I find it a joke, and have always told them straight in their faces, that they are a unique lot who cannot even pronounce the name of the brands properly (Gucci = koo chee, LV = air ler vee, Burberry = bar bur lee) and yet is probably the nationality that spends the most in these shops.

As for the Ah Beng crowd at the pool table, you will be surprised that most of them are millionaires or multi-millionaires who will not hesitate to drop tens of thousand of dollars a night just for kicks, like playing a pool game for $1k - $3k, or forcing the singers to down a few shots at one go before hanging a couple of thousands dollars on each of them.
