Yea, do note that there are 2 cafe havanas, one at greenbelt, one at malate. Haven't been to the one at malate so can't really comment, but the one at greenbelt 3 is a good hang out place for drinks and pick up. Peninsula -> GB -> Havana is very super near. GB rocks, they also have toastbox now, which is where i go for my yuan yang or teh ping nowadays, lol. Enjoy orange squash soup at Cibo or relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee at M cafe *museum* cafe at the ayala museum.

Opposite peninsula is ayala triangle, they have wee nam kee chicken rice there too , a little bit different from sg as the rice grain is more sticky and longer IMO. But comfort food for the sg-ean who has been away from home. Other food places too in ayala triangle can go check out since it's literally a stone's throw from peninsula.

Other than that if you're an avid reader, get some books from powerbooks or national bookstore, they are very very cheap in Manila. Maybe someone knows why? Time magazine 130 php ~ 4 sgd.

Massage places near peninsula think there is one at roman suites which is sorta behind the hotel at greenbelt. Not sure if it's still functioning though, maybe some bros can comment?

A little blast from the past ..

I was once offered a lift in a friend's friend's car .. BMW - after a gathering, and on the way I told her to stop by a petrol station - and she was asking why - I said I need to buy some stuff ..
