Been there a few days back the band with a gal & a guy singer started performing only around 10 plus, was there around 8:30pm the whole place empty except me & my friends, left about 10plus 2 go to another pub saw alot of thai gals sitting outside having supper, mayb they will go in later, next time will go there but @ a later timing, shld b more happening

Bro Yinyang was dragged by me to check out this joint at Tras Street...it's actually beside the Singapore Everton Fan club hangout (SODS)!!!

First impressions - DARK (really dark...)

Spacious...reminded us abit of Royal, without the TVs...pool table S$2 per game ~ a GRO asked me for that amount as she was bored!

Then met bro Rub&Buah and chatted abit...

They served Carlsberg (yucks) at S$33 a jug ... and a Chivas was going at S$128 with free mixers...

Lady's Drinks (LDs) - S$10

Had 1 GRO each..."BEBE" and "FO". Bought them a couple drinks and the band was starting...

Band - recognise some members who used to sing at TD1...quite awhile ago...sexy, voice was ok...but not as many Thai songs as i would expect.

I remember Red Tirak mentioned once... "...all things eventually lead to GM..." which i think sets the tone for the sudden surge with Thai influenced pubs/discos.

TD2, for example, serves Thai beer, has Thai staff/DJ, the songs are mostly Thai...it is so Thai oriented, whereas the feel of these other Thai joints have a more Singapore cultural feel to it. However, it is nice to have something different in the Duxton area for once...

Me and my mate "Cinderella-ed" as usual (left before midnight) but I forsee me and YY going back more to TD2 though...

The ex TD gal singer A was slurpee alright, good height, bod and dance moves (singing? err, too distracted to recall).

Glad to be acquainted with TS, you would be forgiven to think he's one of the showband members wwith his trendy looks

Grateful for yet another initiation to the thai pub scene (over the last few months). IMHO, we just have to wise up to the gals' street smart ways.
Not crowded on a fri evening, maybe something to do with hols stretch?

Agree.Was there recently and 1 lady came and asked for LD($20 ).Took a sip and disappeared within 5 minutes. Came back only half hour later with another GRO who also asked for LD- I said OK and the second GRO also ordered a $20 LD.Spend only 10 minutes making small talk before both excused themselves.After 1/2 hour GROs still did not come back -so I voted with my feet and walked out. 15 minutes of GRO time=$40 on LD's.
Cost:$2.67 per minute of GRO time.

By the way I noticed all the posting/threads by Red_Tirak 1099 seems to all disappeared from SBF?
