Bro shaung there was a record hang for DC during last year somewhere in Feb, the nite total amt hang was about $200k plus, i heard is a DC record so far.

U can always just hang flowers minimum $30. But I wun suggest u waste time at qian gui. Most of the singers has their regular customers liao. That's y u see all the $100 slashes up.

Yue Lei no longer there. I was told he left them after joining for a short while. Now there is a stage manager, a young guy from malaysia. Agree with you that some of the singers singing standard not too bad. As for the boss, I saw he as the singer point out to me but no chance and also dun feel like talking to him. So dun know much.

Last nite went the 50s (Wu Shi Nian Dai) located at Tanjong Pagar. I was there quite early about 8pm. Was told for happy hour they offer buy one get one free. So I ordered two glasses of beer ($10+++ each) and got total 4 glasses. The place looks clean and proper. I mean the hall. Singers singing not too bad. A few good one around. Flowers minimum $30 next $50 then $100 and onwards. Noticed singers most go for the tea which is $12+++.

One jug there is $35+++. So if we have 4 bros there at happy hour, can order two jugs which will be about $80 after adding the sums, we get 4 jugs so each person share cost will be $20 for beer. Quite worth it.

The 50s I am interested to go also ... pass by few times see the place but always cannot find kakis go ... for there i heard the singers got salary kind and must hit target number of drinks sell .... not sure true or not....

one of the msians singer told me that she used to go under teacher simple in DC...yes they go by salary...quite a few places go by salary...

Bro Hunter the "Jian Tan Lao Si" in DC sometimes he really act like a clown lah. dont think is his job to act as a clown. Dont know why he do that in front of the customers, is it by doing that he will also get flowers from customers. so far I see customer only hang him $100 that is the most i ever see.

the 50s; nice place with nice ambience for a drink. there are some singers who can sing too.
if you just want a couple of drinks, and to relax, i would say that this is a good place.
however, if you want to 'pao niu', think twice. be prepared with plenty of money when you go.
