Well, sorry to crash your party, I bought enough tickets on Cebu Pac and none of them needed my CC copy.

Trust me on that .. you never know when you gonna get whacked including using the info to trace you down and .. not to scare your pants, but .. also to threaten you showing the info as proof-of-closeness ..

Don't give it ..

if she insists, tell her find somebody to buy her the ticket problem solved.

And in PH, since no National IC, they can produce any form of identification, including 'home made' ones as long as it has a photo or her PRC id, or her former work place id .. or her school id .. etc. etc.

Fret not much says me .. after having bought more than 6 dozen or more domestic tickets .. don't ask my why !!!!!!!!!
Thks bro. Will ask her settle herself

Nah, I don't think girls are so conniving ..

I would suspect she want more of your personal info for future use LOL

Or blindly following what her friends tell her - get copy of CC if airline asks !!!

As I said, I never gave a copy of my CC to anybody, of course, they knew my real name, so if asked who paid, they can tell my name ..

the bahklas at the taxis are quite harmless, they will be happy if you just give them 5 php to open the door for taxis. if you're not feeling very charitable, then just walk a bit further upstream (walk towards united nations road though, not hyatt, as that's usually darker and more seedy) and hail the next incoming cab.

did you try booking on budget airlines like tiger or jetstar? saw that tiger can still get one way sg-mnl for $150. but of course usually if you book in advance it's only about 100 - 120$. but that's just me, i usually just sleep on the plane so budget or full fare airline doesn't make much of a difference to me. but if you're a sq stock holder, then of course should try to support the company you own shares in...

where's infinity? along roxas blvd?
It was my first time in MBC, so just went along with the flow as I didn't want to create any attention to myself. Also, I was alone.

I would have taken the cab if not for the advice of the 2 girls; I didn't know if I would have gotten into trouble otherwise.

I didn't know Tiger/Jetstar flies to Manila, but I need to take the earliest flight to Manila and the last flight the next day to maximize my time there. This trip will cost my coy more than S$750.

BTW, I will be staying at F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City. Anybody has experience with this hotel? Is MBC still around 30mins drive from this hotel?

Thanks.

1) Cebu Pacific
2) Tiger Airways
3) Jetstars Airways
4) PAL Express (ex Airphil Express)
5) Airasia (CLARK) but bus provided if I am not wrong.

Enjoy.

Thanks Bro. Now I remember why I didn't take Jetstar, only 2 flights per day and the earliest and latest flights are super early and super late. Extremely tiring for me since I need to work both days in Manila.

For Tiger Airways, the timing is not suitable. Just found out today that my SQ flight is going to cost close to $900, 3 times more than Jetstar.

Good thing my schedule for both days are full and productive. And I've made plans to meet Andrea for dinner; looking forward to it.

But we were followed by a persistent guy and my girl had to tell a story that I stayed in a nearby hotel and was bringing both girls back to the hotel.

It was only when we reached the hotel (about 5-8 mins walk away) that the guy backed off. A bit scary, but thankfully these 2 gals were street smart enough to keep me safe.

Btw, my trip to Manila has been postponed to next week. Dunno why this week the tickets are either sold out or very expensive on SQ, PR and Cebu Pacific airlines. Anyone knows why? Orator because I booked late.
I didnt know mbc had mamasan will see tonight as im in manila for 2days anybros want to cheong let me know staying near makati near my work place

The good thing about budget compared to legacy airlines is that the price of a 1 way ticket is most of the time about 50-60% that of a return ticket. Compared to 80% or sometimes even 100% of a return ticket for standard carriers.

Meaning you can mix and match, which gives you far greater flexibility with your flight, or planning schedules.

That said, if the company is sponsoring, then of course by all means fly in full comfort, enjoy the "great" dining that SQ / full board airlines provides, watch movies that you won't complete if they're more than 2 hours (or sometimes cannot forward / rewind), drink wines that you won't normally pay to purchase... Lol

If it's out of your own pocket then it's a totally different story, you will want to mix / match and save the extra $ even if it's 20 bucks. Plus as an added bonus, cebu pacific lands at T3, which IMO is da best terminal in manila right now. Nice, spacious and bright lights. Plus immigration queues are usually shorter since there's less people. Only problem is to get a white taxi you have to walk quite a bit to the end of departure hall to exit the building.

yea the "so-called, unofficial, anyhow anyhow" mamasans. They usually cater to koreans / japs. Hence if you look like one, they will usher you to join them in their specially cloistered area on the 2nd floor. don't have to do anything, they will push and intro girls to you. and even order food and drinks for you if you wish. think koreans usually like to be waited upon, it's part of their culture, I hear that the rich ones usually have a "slave" or servant who follows them around to help manage the nitty gritty details. Quite interesting since personally I would find it bothersome to try and fit someone else into my schedule and would much prefer to handle stuff myself, since that's the only way I know there won't be any f*** ups, but maybe that's cause i'm not loaded and hence have more free time on my hands..

On a separate note .. where's infinity?

Bro jstdoit

Try cafe havana at greenbelt. Or if you have time MBC would be better but you will need to catch a cab.

Re: phillipines, manaila, makati

MBC mamasan actually quite alright and frenly. At least they help to break the ice if you r shy. U just have to tip them about 200 peso, that's all. I had a great time there chatting with the mamasan and buying her drinks. At least they appreciate it and talk cock with you. She even ask me what type I like and how she can help me get one that is suitable for me. However, we just chatted and laugh and at the end, it just happened and I went off with a gem and had a fucking good time.

Havana, I dun quite like. Coz some tend to act high class !

Noob question here so bare with me a little, I'm going to be in makati this weekend and I'm wondering how do I go about getting a local number? Can I just buy a sim or smart sim and use it on my iPhone? Or do I actually need another phone? Any advice greatly appreciated
