Pasay, you are closer to Edsa Complex, and also to the Famous AF1 Flight 168 MPs

And if you have some spare time, take your own cool time to go and check out the other places in Malate - Pasay isn't that far off Malate - somebody wrote some detailed reports on Malate area happenings - better than Makati

Pasay is not for beginners, I would avoid that area if you are not very familiar with Manila or travelling alone.

Turn on your wechat and search for people nearby. Last time i am at mall of asia, i discover alot of fl gems nearby. Much more than makati area. But do select carefully. Some maybe scams but at least i have been lucky so far

There's a KTV in Newport city away from the casino area. But other than that, not much/

No, those ones are the well known joints in Paranaque that's about 20 minutes away, there is a KTV that is about a 2 minute walk from RWM, it has a big billboard that's visible from the main road. I've never been inside, but I've see girls walk in and out of that place and some of the girls are look PRC and speak mandarin.
