Just sharing some tips for preventing/reducing hangover symptom.

Whenever you consume alcohol, the liquor goes into your blood stream and your body detects that it's a 'foreign' liquid, so they send it to the liver to process it into normal liquid that can be absorbed by the body or ejected. So when the 'factory' - aka your liver is working so hard, they need water to keep the factory running and it works non stop even when you are sleeping.

If you are properly hydrated, your factory have no problem using those water (not liquor ah) you drink, but if you are not properly hydrated, your liver starts to take water from everywhere in the body.

The headache you get is because the liver has insufficient water, and thus abstract from your head/brain/cranium, which results in your brain shrinking - and causes the headaches.

So the best way is to force yourself to drink at least 1 bottle of water after the party is over and you are home. That is if you are not too drunk. Just lie on the bed eyes closed and drunk and drink like a baby till you fall asleep. Haha

If you are too drunk, then you can't really drink the water before the hangover. So after the hangover, there are a few ways to make you feel better.

1) Drink plenty of water even if you feel like throwing up, don't have to force drink, but keep it constant. Don't drink coffee/tea/coke as they contain caffeine and makes you more dehydrated.

2) This is only temporary reliever but it feels good - go have a hot shower, let the water jet hit the back of your neck, the headache will be gone for the moment and you will feel quite shiok.

3) Sleep as much as you can

4) if you have time, put a pail of hot water and soak your feet in, then find a bag of frozen thing and put at the back of your neck. It will bring the flow of water to your head and reduce. The pain.

5) H2O doesn't work for me, but there are some useful hangover drinks at the 7-11 counters, can try them.

6) if all else fails - call me. I will give a good massage to relieve all the tension and pain

But any advice on what to eat when having throat inflammation?
I can't swallow even water without feeling pain in my throat.
Whole body aching since yesterday till now...

Gosh.... It's really one crazy night.....

Throat inflammation, if it's only sore throat, then can eat lozenges, strepsils is useless, so go pharmacy to get a proper lozenges.

If you touch your neck (press gently under the bone of your face) and both sides feel swollen, might be tonsils getting inflamed. To confirm, go to mirror and say ahhhh, and look down your throat, if you see swollen white things at your throat means yes. If it is then go see doctor, he will give some medicine to reduce swelling and lozenges to reduce pain.

Babe, I can't even swallow water without feeling pain.
Ice cream is the best.... Just melt straight into my throat... No pain....
