This must be the longest thread in SBF. Hats off to everyone who has made this thread an interesting one to follow all this while.

I have also spent time in places like Cleo, CMacau and also some other smaller joints. Maybe some of the regular contributors are people I have met and shook hands with in the past, even if I was not a big fish in the flower pond.

Hope to hear/share more stories abt HFJs.

I agree, that boss is a very humble and nice person, pays cash, trust people and earns the trust. Well, his girl is completely different and looked down on me i suppose .
Does not really matter, if i am looked down because i did not hang flowers..
It is now a matter of pride, that I do not have a reputation as a flower, hanger, as in truth, long past the stage of being stupid and spending on credit.

Indeed, the boss gal very smart in asking for flowers n "selling potato"(buay kang tan). The special task force are the waiters n waitresses, all commando trained with never say die attitude.

Side-tracked a little, went to Selegie ktv before proceeding to XSY,I was testing market n guess what, I was little stunned. I sat with 5 gals, total tipping $62!!!! Bo how siao,I oso stunned. All 5 I told them, I oni give $10 if ok then sit else sorry u look for other cutomer. The one who came in the most gets $20 , the most fun loving $12, the rest $10!! I tot they sure hogger n chut pattern or KPKB but no ley, all peck on my cheek n go... Nabay, either hangcheng really bad or I have been cockanathan all along..... I tend to believe the latter,,

Yes this indeed a very long thread. There had been some very interesting posts and also some gabbage. Nevertheless this is a forum where we exchange and share informations be it sensible talks or gabbage. I find gabbage has its interesting side as well.

I have not been to many flower joints and I am certain many bros will agree with me that not many flower hangers do actually go to these places not to listen and appreciate the singer's singing. More for the drinks, the girls and who knows what's next in their mind. I have to admit that I am in this category as well.

I can't help but share this place with bros here. To many bros it does not surprise me that you had been there already.

The place is nicely decorated which reminds me of a club that I been in Shanghai some years back. Infortunately I could not recall the name. This is like the minature version of it.

Nice and comfortable. The stuff and management are very trained and polite. Drinks are on the ex side for a jug is $55 which comes with a fruit plate and nuts etc., They have a wine menu and I think the cheapest is about $100 plus. Hard liquor I dont know.

Now the interesting part is all the singers are no SYT but they all can really sing and they sing well. This is one place that I will go and listen to them sing and enjoy the evenning and with some ladies company.
When I first step inside I said to myself, goosh this joint is not for me. Flowers sure in rack up in hundreds. I was wrong. You can have a 50 bucks flower and best part is unlike other flower joint the mummy, manager or whoever will not come and hassle you to hang for the girls. But of course you feel pai seh if you dont hang.
The next good thing is, in most joint the flowers are in the form of (dont know what you call it) slash where you can see the amount. Here, from 50 to 500 maybe more are all in the form of artifical flower bouquet. Of course the size is different. So when I hang 50 I dont feel so pai seh.

I am not sure how many of you have heard of this place called Club Sonata at Penang Lane.

That's why experienced bros will ignore all these nonsense altogether. There is no need to defend the night scene folks, singers, managers, joints or owners. They are simply NOT worth it. Sometimes you get to know people who cheong with you, if you or any members in your comfort group do not find credibility in that new joiner or cheapo or traitor whatsoever, simply leave the bugger out of your sessions. Why get worked up, aggressive, angry and revengeful? Would rather live life simply and happy.

For me, I will only share my frank opinions, be it good or bad. Agree to disagree is a basic requirement in friendships. Even the best of buddies do come to blows. Let's always put integrity and honor in whatever we do in our normal daily lives sans the night entertainment scene. Tio bo bro and bros?

Tio la bro. First we are just customers to spend money there and to find fun and short-term happiness so why bother about how these joints run their businesses. If customers find no value going to this joint, then stop patronising them.

Second I read that some characters that has no credibility that like did not pay for fair share of drinks, asked other bros to pay for flowers he hanged or tried to con money. If that is the case then stop contacting him anyone, no point cheong with a person that you feel not worthwhile with.

Third I did know some characters here treated the night scene folks, singers, managers, joints or owners like their own kins and family members that the main reasons why they got so worked up and started defending them. We all have our own families, old-aged parents, relatives so why let these strangers or unknown nightclub people come into our life and make us miserable.

Finally let us forgive what happened in the past and move on to live a meaningful life. I hope all of us can learn our previous lessons and be not stupid again
