Recently, went back to Thai pub and realised certain interesting scenes.

Weekends were not so packed. And staff at the pub was telling us that clients who have been buying LDs and flowers have dwindled. Even when they were there, the drinks, flowers and tips have gone down by quite a bit. (Probably could be due to uncertainty in recent stock market, hehehe. Not the emergence of this thread.)

I do appeal to fellow samsters who have been reading this thread that this thread is not to dissuade people from buying flowers, giving tips or buying LDs for them

Rather it is just some insightful stories that is happening in their community and not known to many because of the difference in language and culture.

Without Flower Support, Without Lady Drinks Support, Without $$$ Support, these Thai Singers would earn lesser and lesser, their Boss would want them to balek kampung and get new singers to come in to garner all these $$$$.

So for all those who do not wish your favourite singers to go home Thailand so fast, please open your charitable heart and 'help' them out as and when IF YOU CAN

There was this Thai Singer as mentioned in earlier stories, where I named her as 'B'

('B' was the one who told lies to help cover up for her colleague 'T')

So happens that one day out of the blue, 'B' told me she has some problems at home. She told me her problems need money to settle.

Backgnd information
Her job as a singer in Province gets her a salary of 20000baht a month. Mother and Sister both run noodle stalls in province. With 2 noodle stalls, each noodle stall has an additional 3 helpers helping out. In Thailand, if you have a noodle stall that needs at least 3 helpers, business is very good.

So 'B' tells me that 20000baht salary for her in province is not enough. She has to pay for her room rental @ 4500baht a month and if she does not have enough, she will go and get from her mother and sister (this part I really pity her family)

Fast forward after she told me she need money to settle, I didn't ask her how much she need. I don't ask, because experience tells me when you ask her how much, it means you want to help. I want to see how she open her mouth and ask from me.

Later on in the night, I received an sms, she asked me for $1000SGD to give her to help her. (the words she used was to give and not borrow)I asked her why she need the money when she is working in singapore n earning sgd too. She said she need to pay some bills, etc.

We are all cheongsters here. There is no free lunch. No free fucks. (This I supposed everyone agrees.)

I told her okay. (In my mind, I am thinking $1000sgd I can give, but I must find a way to go through her skirt.) I told her when she goes back Thailand, few days later can I go her province and find her.

- She said she will not be going back to her aprtment but go back and be with her mother and sister for 1 month holiday.

- So I say can I visit her place where her mother and sister are staying? She said ok, but it would be very very weird if she bring me out together with them.

- So I say okay, then don't put her in a spot and why not she stay in her apt and wait for my arrival then we go out for 1 day. She said cannot, if she stay in her apt, she must go and work in the provincial pub.

- So I ask her when does she need to go work then? (earlier she said go home holiday for 1 month, then when I want see her, suddenly story of going to work come in) If she don't work for 1-2 days can or not, I will pay for all the fines that her boss of the pub imposed. She said its very difficult. If she goes home to her mum/sis, she will stay home for a month. If she wait for me to arrive in few days, she cannot idle at home and do nothing and must go work.

**So the whole story I know liao. (Too many excuses)Then I just told her, you are a very busy woman. Meeting you is so so tough. I will make my way to Thailand and supposed that we would not have the chance to meet at all. So let's not meet after all. If meeting up is such a hassle for you, let's not meet. And I put down the phone.

An hour later, another sms comes in. She said she knew I am pissed off and she thinks I am not going to give her the money, so she said she does not want to get the money from me also
(I felt relieved)

Interesting life experience. Bro siamcutey, you steady...must make our hard earn money worth. But S$1k to me is quite a lot of money.

Just like my friend who cheong a pub with me yesterday...he tip the viet gal S$60 bucks because his didi is happily kena molested. I was like OMG, that's way above standard tipping rate...pretty close to FJ rate. Anyway, he's happy.

I learn my lesson hard at pub/ktv...those soft toy sellers come in, if one of the guys buy for his gal, the rest of the girls sure wants the cute soft toy...very shiong...end of the day, every guy in the room got to buy for their girls.

Sometimes, such incidents might lead to girls thinking that we are Mr Bucks Bunnies aka Carrot Head.

They will stick to you when u visit the pub and hoping to dig more $$$ from generous guys. Even if u didn't want them, they will ask u for "lucky money". Very the troublesome. So stay mainstream. Unless you are 1 to 1 with the gal.

for viet pub your friend tip way too much liao. $60 is 3 times the market rate. $20 is standard. $30 or $40 is still ok but not encouraged. end of the day spoil market for the rest of your kakis. i have one friend who works in this kind of viet pub strictly told me never to pay more than $20 as it will spoil market and the girls will get more greedy.

your friend is like those japanese chiongsters. spoil market wherever they go. leave him out in your next outing.
