Batam has come a long way from the days of dirt road( 1998/9), to what it is today. Batu ampar is only a dirt road. Nagoya is the main town, and BAtam centre does not exist. QUeens, FEMINA, NEW BERLIAN, GOLD BIRD, ETC are the main one around. Titanic, Orchid KTV, etc, are the few around.
Hotel goodway, Novotel are few of the better hotels( known as mandarin hotel). Holiday Inn, Batam View and golf club hotels are the ones outside Nagoya town.
From 1999 onwards, until the closure of the casinos, Batam went thru huge changes. Those old birds who been going to Batam for more than 15 years will know.
oh yes.. those were the days of real enjoyment.. LT only 210K rupiah.. ojek at 5k, taxi 10-15k.. xchange rate abt $1-6000... I remember once indo currency drops to $1-8000 over.. yes I remember the hotel name where titanic is.. OASIS hotel hahaha.. juz along the stretch of dusty road along batu ampar.. thxs for the memories.. bro newyorkers88....
those times only got 3 jetties... sekupang, batu ampar n waterfront.. m I right? not talk abt nongsa.. batu ampar is the nearest jetty to lucky plaza.. I use to eat the best ayam bakar beside lucky plaza, oso selling chicken rice, mickey mouse been selling at those time... all r history now haha.. OKE,OKI foodcourts.. famous among all sinkees...

And during the LT 210k to 250k time.50k is the normal tips to cewek.if tip 100k consider very generous.150k tip the cewek will break into tears and remember u are the tamu bayak bagus hati.now 150k tips the cewek will ask u for more n show unhappy face.

I went to batam last week, have my first visit to Delta massage.. the almostphere is gd, but no foods n must pay for ur own drinks, gals r young n pretty..given a gd massage by the gal, slow n patient HJ.. gd shower by the gal.. i give her 500k tip.. thinking i must pay her for HJ.. went to foot the bill.. is 700k!!.. wow..i dint realise HJ is included haha.. total is 1.2 jutas.
N juz realised how ex is batam now hehe( juz my own opinion)..
With tis price, i was thinking y not i go to jb New York hotel for massage.. spa, including foods n drink n ST with malaysian gal only 218rm.. is so much worthwhile den i go to batam now.

Heading back to Sillypore soon. It's both Good and Bad for me in this 3D2N trip. My 1st day was a total flop as i was caught in the rain and am down with mild cold,and bought a tab of 10 Panadol flu and cold tablet ,took 2 pills and slept thru nearly the whole day with some minimal bonking. The only consolation for me is i got a girl from Happy Massage 8 before i fell sick.

If u willing to give 5 million tip or 100million tip that does not mean batam is now getting more expensive. Last week in batam i paid a cewek to come to my hotel to do massage and fj, i paid only 400k ruppiah and its past midnight. And d cewek is in her mid 20s n pretty, not those ugly type n she give very good gfe.
