This is not a personal attack at all man. But suffice to say I have been disappointed with many Pool fans here including the four below your post. They have no idea what YNWA means.

Ironic that the fans who yell loudest to blast our players and manager will take shelter under the freedom of speech when they are criticised. Of course they have a right to express their views, as I do to respond to them.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Liverpool needs to have players who can change the game. Afraid that we are not there yet becuz we dun have the right players.

Getting new players is not the answer. Think they just need to blend and play together well. The players passes are still not good enough. They lost the balls too cheaply often.

Think there are giving up on the league now. Just concentrate on the FA Cup.

YNWA.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Dalglish: Reds may need change of style

article from soccernet on 26 March: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...-style?cc=4716

It's about time Dalglish change his tactics, especially when it comes to selection of players. Youngsters such as Sterling and Eccleston should be given a run in the first team to blood them for the next few seasons. We're 13 points adrift of Spurs for 4th spot and seemingly have nothing to play for with the exception of the FA Cup.

Players who are not performing well should be dropped without hesitation no matter how "big" the player is. No player should be bigger than the team. Players such as Flanagan and Spearing have been performing well and they should continue to play as well. Most importantly, our players should be playing in positions which brings the best out of them. No point selecting "better" players to play out of positions when other players can fill the same spot.

For example, instead of playing Henderson out right, Sterling can be given a chance to play there instead especially when he is naturally a right winger.

This is what KD should consider doing.. If KD does the same thing every week but expects a different result, that would be insanity.

I kinda agree about the Carra part..

Though I love Carra ever-since he broke into the team but all good things will come to an end... He should take a step back, mentor and guide the youngster and be a good backup for the team by now... His experience is very valuable...

And regardless we play Wigan, Chelski or the god damn sunday league, I always expect Liverpool to play to a certain standard...

I dont buy King Kenny excuses for tiredness.. If they are tired, rotate them..
I dont believe players like Maxi or Coates are tired...
And the only tiredness Carroll will feel is sitting on the bench too long...
I dont care how poorly others rate him but at least give him games... Cant expect him to come on with 10min and score a winner.. He is not those type of player at all....
Damn if we blood Sterling straight from kick off and lost, I still feel much better....

Not much games left, at least end the season with pride and something for us to cheer about...

Play well praise the heroes (but never the so called British signings unless you are referring to Bellars?). Play poor and it's Henderson, Adam, Carroll (and now Dalglish). This is the discerning Pool fan?

Kenny sacked if he were in another club after winning our first trophy in 6 years? Thank god we are not Chelsea.

From what I can see you are one of the few who don't seemed to be bothered by the current state of the Liverpool team.

It is also very true that by human nature everybody loves a winning team. A winning team will lead the club to more glory and more silverware. It is also very natural that when the team start losing games , everybody will start to worry. If we lose only 1 or 2 games that would be acceptable abut to lose 5 or 6 games in a row I don't think most supportters will be willing to accept that . Some more lose to a lower team which we should have won.

It i obvious that Liverpool is in a crisis. We started the season well and we seemed to be losing steam at the moment. When things go wrong , naturally everyone is looking at the manager. His tyle of approach , his players depolyment and so on...

Though he help us win the Carling Cup and we are on course for the FA Cup , it seemed that we are not doing well in the BPL. I was really hoping that with the win of the Carling Cup , our lads will keep the momenton . But I was proven wrong. It was match after match of defeats that is a cause of big concern.

Usually when things go wrong , the managers are the first casualties. Seriously KingKenny have to take some of the blame and the balance some of the players too.

CB is defintely one of them.Suarez is another.and when SG is fired up he can also do a lot of damage. The new player have been playing together for almost two thirds of the season already . How much time do they need ? 1 or 2 seasons ? Don't forget these are english players who had already have experienced playing in the BPL and in the past they have played against Liverpool , so they should be the ones who should be able to adapt faster to Liverpool style of play.

Definitely they are giving up on the BPL . I really hope they win the next game in the FA Cup .

If KingKenny is aware that his players are tired why in the hell did he select them in the first place . He can use them as subs in the 2nd half . I also wonder why he don't play Maxi and Coates more often ????

I also respect Carra a lot but age is catching up on him and he is not fast as he used to be. But then he sure have lots of experience.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I am sure every liverpool fans should know by now, the club needs players that can change the course of the game. Surely the club have lots of hardworking players, but smart players? Just a few.

Sometime, its really frustrating to watch them play esp when they pump long ball to the strikers. Perhaps they should change the way they play but keeping the ball on the grounds with lots of short direct passing. On numerous occassion, the reds have prove to be able to play and win using such approach, what I do not understand is why the next game is back to long ball again.

Personally I feel KD should be given another chance to prove his critics wrong, but sadly in modern football, u only get 1 chance to prove your mettle. Just look at AVB and Ranerie ( Spelling typo - Ex Inter Milan Manager now)

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

http://sg.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fit...152827357.html

COMMENT: Time for Kenny Dalglish to go

As much as it hurts me 2 say tis, it is time 4 King Kenny 2 stand aside @ the end of the season. He is not the right man 2 lead the Reds any longer.

Their 1-2 defeat 2 relegation threatened Wigan is the final straw 4 me. And tat was just a few days aft losing 2-3 to QPR!

Currently languishing 7th in the English Premier League, 13 points behind 4th-place Tottenham & a staggering 28 points off leaders ManC, their league position — not their cup success — is the clearest indication of their progress as a club.

On the Cup front, Liverpool may be 2 games away fr making it a Double-winning season aft booking their place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Stoke City last week. But their relative success is the domestic Cups, which started with the Carling Cup triumph last month, is merely masking grave underlying problems @ Anfield.

Don't get me wrong. Winning trophies is great & it would be some feat if Liverpool can add the FA Cup 2 the Carling Cup 2 their dusty trophy cabinet, which b4 tis year, had remained barren for 5 seasons.

But wat Reds fans truly crave 4 is being able 2 call Liverpool a top-4 team 1s again & relish mid-week Champions League games against the likes of Barcelona & AC Milan.

Liverpool can win all the trophies they 1, but the fact remains -- Dalglish has failed in his primary mission, which is 2 bring the club back into the top-4.

And tis is why he has failed.

2 proud
"King Kenny" as he is famously known as @ Anfield, is as proud a manager as u can find. No amount of criticism will change his mind & he is 1 who stands by his players 2 the death.

The Scot stood by Luis Suarez throughout the recent racism row where the Uruguayan was charged 4 racially abusing United left-back Patrice Evra.

As if Suarez's act was not damaging enough 2 the reputation of the club, Dalglish's senseless backing of his star striker 2 the extent of getting his players don Suarez t-shirts b4 a league game last December proves he is 2 proud 4 the club's own good.

The Scot's hostile attitude 2wards the media has also heaped unnecessary pressure on the team & his stubborn defending of his side's poor performances has not helped them improve on the pitch.

Failed transfer policy
Since Dalglish took over @ Anfield last year, he has spent nearly S$200million on players whom he believed would bring the club 2 the next level.

But most hv failed 2 live up 2 their hefty price tags.

The biggest flop is none other than Andy Carroll. The S$70million signing fr Newcastle has been a shadow of the player he was @ Tyneside. In fact, the Englishman has turned in2 a sleeping giant & looks clearly pedestrian in most of his games 4 the Reds. Just 6 goals 2 show 4 tis season, Carroll & Liverpool r proving 2 be a match made in hell. Wat did Dalglish ever see in him in the 1st place?

Stewart Downing, who was brought 4 his crosses in2 the box, has been largely disappointing with his deliveries & goal contribution, scoring just twice since joining fr Aston Villa while Jordan Henderson has also been average @ best. Despite tis, Dalglish continues 2 use him as a regular starter -- 1 wonders why, when he doesn't offer much of anything.

Man motivation skills
While the players r responsible 4 their performances on the pitch, the manager is the mastermind behind the signings. And Dalglish, as stubborn as he is in defending his transfer policy, must admit the players he has signed r just not good enough.

Even so, isn't the mark of a great manager the ability 2 get the best out of average or out-of-favour players?

Look @ the all-time greats -- Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola & Guus Hiddink. Most of the players under their care actually improved becos they were motivated 2 outdo themselves. Remember how Otto Rehhagel took unfancied Greece 2 Euro 2004 with nary a household name in his side? Or Hiddink with Korea in the 2002 World Cup semi-finals?

Carroll, meanwhile, looks more than ever like he's lost & out of touch since his transfer 2 Anfield. Same goes with Henderson & save 4 the occasional flashes of brilliance, Downing.

Out of touch
There were doubts whether he still has wat it takes 2 be a Premier League manager aft over a decade away fr the dugout.

Even though he has undoubtedly lifted the spirits & belief @ Anfield aft taking over the beleaguered Roy Hodgson but the feel-good factor is now gone & the 61-year-old's lack of experience & tactical knowledge of the modern game has been shown up more often than not tis season.

To give you a better example, I doubt Dalglish could hv give the same half-time talk or rousing motivation tat Benitez did during the magical night in Istanbul in 2005 when Liverpool were trailing 3-0 down 2 AC Milan in the final.

The Reds' inability 2 close out games & the habit of conceding late goals hv proved detrimental 2 the Reds, who were known 4 their ruthlessness & ability 2 keep clean sheets in games during Rafael Benitez's reign.

Unlike the Spaniard, Dalglish's tactical naïvete & even stubbornness has translated 2 the team's frustrating hit-&-miss performances on the pitch. His insistence on playing misfiring Henderson & Downing instead of the in-form Craig Bellamy & the ever-so-effective Dirk Kuyt has cost his side dear on several occasions tis season.

At the end of the day, he may still hv the Cup touch in him, but does he hv wat it takes 2 lead Liverpool back 2 where they belong — in the top 4? I say no, & it's time he makes way next season 4 some1 who can.

What do Liverpool fans think?
Clement Chen, a Liverpool supporter for 16 years, believes Dalglish should be given more time 2 prove himself.

The 26-year-old told Yahoo! Singapore: "I think it's 2 early 2 judge Dalglish. His new signings still hv potential but hv yet 2 gel. Aft all, it was only against Everton tat Carroll, Steven Gerrard & Suarez started a league game 2gether!"

Benjamin Liew, who is a member of the Liverpool fan club in Singapore, believes Dalglish is the right man 2 bring the glory days back 2 Anfield.

He said: "I think Dalglish has done a great job tis season. We r playing much better football than last season & the club is definitely moving in the right direction under the King."

But not all r in favour of "King Kenny".

Khoo Li Min, a Reds fan for 8 years, reckons Dalglish has carried the club as far as he could & it's time 4 a change.

He explained: "There is definitely a better feel @ the club since he took over. But he has failed 2 solve our league problems although we hv done well in cup competitions.

"7th in the table is just unacceptable 4 a club like Liverpool. Maybe it's time 2 find some1 who can lead us back into the top 4," he added.
