Just came back from BT. First time. Was there over the weekend. Stayed at Planet Holiday. Booked through tour agency. It was something like 1st night $80, 2nd night cheaper at $50. Hotel quite nice. 4 star I think. The receptionist was quite cute.

The nightlife in BT quite bad. I suspect the World Cup has taken its toll. Went to Titanic to Karaoke. The disco had only girls. And most CMI. So, we give up and just sing and drink. Looks like we are the only customers. After singing without girls, tried to find taxi but don't have. Waited almost 10 mins before one appeared. It was 1am. Went back knock out.

2nd day, play golf. Evening makan. Went to disco at the hotel. Only char boh and all CMI. Sorry, my standard quite high. Give up. Go back, watch world cup and drink in room with friends. 11pm, went to ask recept out. She didn't look horny but was quite sweet. She said okay and we went to Vista Hotel - The Peak. Also quite empty. Music was blardy loud. Interestingly, there was an old lady in wheelchair there. She got up to dance (aided by her grandchildren) for a while even. She must be quite happening in her younger days. There was even a 10 year old boy there.

Went back to hotel but the girl said she work there so not nice to go up. Didn't want to book a room in another hotel so said thank you and sent her back home in the taxi.

Next day before catching ferry. Went for massage at hotel - $32. Masseuse also CMI but for the heck of it did a HJ. Gave her $20.

Just for info, exchange rate is same in BT and here. Taxi from Batam Center FT - official rate is 40K RP. Walk out of FT, it is 25K to 30K RP. Golf is cheap $65. I didn't see any chinese FL. The girls don't hassle you very much. They are quite nice when I say no thanks. The taxi drivers don't always know where the place is and how to get there - so better check first. I said Hotel Vista. He took us to Southlinks Golf Course !!????

Bro, try the Indian money exchange at North bridge Road (directly opp Sultan Mosq). Along the same row of Zam Zam restaurant, counter is at the junction of North Bridge Rd and Arab street.
