Can see you cheong Hadyai type. If you want to enjoy Pattaya , you have to forget everything you learn in Hadyai. If you are not open to new experiences , forget going to Pattaya ; you will not like it.

LT 1k at beer bar is a pretty standard price.Stunner may quote for more like 1500 but maxium for beer bar should be at 2k baht.when i first went to pattaya i was like shock compare to bangkok.Gogo gals quote more more the average price should be st 1000-1500 for st & 1500-2500 for lt.Of course plenty of gals who smell u like a newbie will chop u like st2k,lt4k bangkok price.

I can tell u we asian customer are the one who is paying higher than average price than farang in pattaya or maybe get carrot chop more by the gals cos they know asian ppl style.Why?we only have short holiday a few days there & cant be bother to bargain or waste time search ard too much while lots of farang there are staying for at least 2weeks to 2 months.Some of the ang mo are more stingy than us.seen that myself.

I'm currently in Pattaya. Best time of the year! Weather is already very fine and there are still few tourists so girls are starving for customers...
My current experience (ST= around 1h but can be more, LT= overnight, some girls go early in the morning, others sleep untill 12)
Beachroad girls: 500 ST
Bar girls: 500/700 ST, 1000 LT
Gogo bars: in most gogos the official tarif is 2000 ST/2500 LT, and you can get 1500 ST/2000 LT easily. Some girls only go ST. Some gogos are a bit more expensive (i.e. Happy agogo), but anyway there are currently about 1 customer for 10 girls in gogos so negotiating is easy. Don't negotiate with mamasan, talk directly to the girl. It will be more difficult during peak season.
Discos:girls usually go LT and will be having fun with you dancing before going to hotel. Standard price is 1000 LT and is usually never discussed. The girl goes with you to your hotel and takes the money you give her in the morning. Disco is a more funny, friendly and cheaper alternative, but girls often happen to look older in full light than in a dark disco. After 3 pm everybody goes to insomnia disco.
There are a few gems here and there (bars and discos) but mainly a bit too old girls. Usually I chase first in bars and early discos, and end up in gogos if I don't find a SYT. I end up in gogos more than often though.....
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE OVERPRICED, DON'T ASK "HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT". You know the current price, so if money is discussed by her (in discos, and often in beer bars, it is not discussed) you can say I give you this. Also never say it's the first time you go to Pattaya, say I've been there 6 month ago with my Italian friends.

Be careful about Imsomnia , the secutiry guards have been known to whack people for small reasons. The place has a metal detector at the door! So its not a place I go often. It only has ONE narrow stairway for entry/exit. Imagine the deathtrap should a fire break out in that sardine can.

Having said that , avoid Tony's (EVERYTHING! - discos, gym , hotel etc) as well. Overprices tourist traps.

Better to bring a barfine to Xcyte or Holloywood. There's also a stretch of thai places behind the Big C at Festival Centre you might like to try.

No problem with me about security men (??). There's also another way out at the other end (you can even jump in the sea!).

I agree with you that Tonys is to be avoided, too kitch and boring (and expensive).
I like to go to Candyshop in front of Soi Diamond. It's more a bar where you can dance, and they have good bands playing (dance/Hip Hop style). As it's open, you don't have to inhalate the smoke of other people's cigarettes (that's why I don't go to Lucifer). Very friendly but usually no great picks.

I am hesitating to go to Pattaya as I am under the impression it is peak season; but you mentioned there are few tourists. So most of the bar FLs must be quoting 'low season' rate? Appreciate your kind advice please.

Dont worry so much, though now is the peak season but based on what i also experienced yesterday (or maybe cos it's a sun): Tourists are much fewer in the agogo bars. I went to baby, heavens above, secret, super baby and super girl last night--> Inside usually only 4-5 customers but only baby is most popular lar (ard 10+ customers)! All the ang mos mainly clustered at the beer bars. After going to these 5 bars, took a big boob SYT from baby at ST 1500 and BF 300. Good deal overall.

Although it's officially peak season, my experience of Thailand has showed me that peak season really starts from around christmas up to the end of february. I also think that because of the economic crisis fewer people flight to Thailand, or if they go, fewer can afford gogo girls. Sometimes I go very late to gogo bars and I'm always surprised to see that so many girls are still available. Friday and Saturday nights are a bit more crowded.

Soi Diamond is on Walking street (as Candyshop).

Hmmm! Another crazy night will start for me in a few hours...

That describes almost every disco, AGG, bar and whatever in Thailand! After what happened at Santika I make it a point to make a mental note of exits in places that I chiong in but then again after a few drinks... oh well.

This Is shyguy here, live from pattaya and also counting down to his last 2 hrs over here before heading back to Bangkok airport.
Don't know if it's my taste or luck but ended up my 2 nights in pattaya is abt bonking syt. My 1st night as stated in my previous post: baby agogo no 65 c+ cupper 20 yr old syt.
Today, went to few more places for hunting: club borsche, x zone, gentleman club. At x zone, target the hostess and she is only 18 yrs old! Never bf her cos her English very bad and I'm a talkative man. Haha. At gentleman club, saw one sweet looking c cupper dancer 'mew' treat her a drink; talk and can't tahan -> bf! Later discovered that she's only 20 yrs old. Only prob with bonking syt for me is that I had to do mostly the work though both listen to my needs.
