Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
bro rahl, ppl keep talking abt rafa spending but not many fans noe that rafa acutually wanted to sign wesly seidner frm RM when RM wanted alonso,RM had offered wesly n 10 mil but pool s owners rejected the offer as they wanted the cash,so AA was the next target for 20 mil,but since he was injured roma got only 4mil for AA n the rest to be paid in instalments of 4 mil for 4yrs.so wat happened to the bal of 26 mil,did it go across the atlantic cos rafa did not get any of it.rafa had to wrk in difficult situation with his bosses n the media, thats y he gets the loudest cheers frm the kop,the pool fans r not stupid, unlike sum fans here 1 bad season n they r asking 4 his head.

We won't know for now as the Yanks have not published their accounts since the time they downsized the stadium, and I'm waiting for the new owners to come in so we know where all the money went.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
many fans would read and believe wat tat is written in the mass media, which all of us know for some reason, most of the media (esp those in uk and s'pore) r pro-man utd and anti-liverpool...
i won't be surprised tat rafa din play AA in so many games may be due to some clause inserted during his purchase tat we've to pay certain instalment after certain no. of apperance... ("Liverpool will be the most profitable investment I have ever made,” Hicks said, claiming that there was a strong business rationale to buy the club. “I should make four times my money. Liverpool has been the most rewarding in so many ways") --- now we all know where had the money generated from players sale gone to ..... and people keep criticisng rafa for selling some players: keane, crouch, aberloa. hyppia and alonso... the fact is keane - guess he missed way too many easy chances for rafa liking. and rafa felt he not suitable in our playing system, so let sell him back to spur. and it's not without reason tat spur offload (loan him to celtic) soon after bought him back... crouch - he wanted 1st football. which rafa chose torres before him. guess nobody would question tat choice.. hyppia - he wanted to play 1st football for few more season, which we couldn't promise him... aberloa - he wanted to go madrid himself. if i din remembered wrongly, there're rumours tat he was homesick and was linked back to spain long before he left us... \ as for alonso - he handed in his transfer request. and i shall not go into the barry arguement again...

[QUOTE=hawksbay;4823110]tha best pass sg did in is life,it was painful to watch, but i did not want pool to win that nite,i rather lose 3 points than let the scums win the 19th.[/QUOTE
If they are a better side then pool then they deserved to win! Although we didn't qualify for CL but we still have some pride to win any match that we can. Be a gentleman and congrats any team that wins the league title this season.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Hi Bros,
mm.. i think i can differentiate fans who strongly believe we should change coach.. but there are those whose remarks/comments on this post really sound like Manure fans or Chelski fans mocking Reds' fans.. anyway, pardon if i offended some real fans out there. anyhow, its really sad to see all the news about Reds talking NOT about who we are buying and who is linked to us, cause those are really juicy news and really good to speculate about.. cant even find a good player link to Liverpool nowsaday.. its all about Rafa leaving and the new potential owners.. one word to capture it.. SIANZ! continuing bro bochapsing's comment on Keane.. i read somewhere that, RB commented that the initial plan last last year was that to buy Barry to play on left back, to supply balls to Keane who then plays the ball for Torres.. but since the board veto the transfer of Barry, Keane is effectively useless.. but the board went ahead with the transfer.. =.=" sometimes, as outsiders, we really dont know what is going on inside the boardroom.. if what our bro shared about Alonso transfer is true.. how many other transfers are going against RB's decisions? we will never know.. copied from another reds fans.. dj Says: May 4th, 2010 at 3:46 pm lfc was 5 years behind MU when rafa joined liverpool.rafa has brought us within striking distance of the big teams with very little money actually. you only have to look at the tranfer dealings to see why we are falling behind again. the finger points quite clearly towards the yanks.they have not been as suportive as the media would have us believe. read the following, courtecy of the telegraph today. the dopy t**ts have unwittingly helped rafa with this one. 2004/05: IN: £2m Josemi; £1.5m Nunez; £10.7m Alonso; £6m Luis Garcia; £6.3m Morientes; £1m Carson; Free Pelligrino. TOTAL SOLD: £151,000,000. TOTAL NET SPEND: £79,476,000. anyway, there was a more balanced critism about RB. some of the team's area went backwards.. Left back from Riise to Aurelio to Dossena.. Right back from Finnan to Arbeloa to Degen before we get Glenn Johnson.. cheers, Shy |

Pardon Pak P but some so called Reds fan here gave Pak P a minus for stating the above. Be a true Reds fan and do leave your nick. Pak P bears no grudge. Reason Pak P gave that post was because to humor some Mas(bros) here when exchanges were getting a little heated. Pardon Pak P that "you" don't see the humor of it For all true Reds fans Pak P conclude that this season is really not what we had expected compared to last season's great run but hei Mas there's always next season . Remember the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" so let's band together and hope for a great season ahead. Slmt |

- the players Rafa wanted to buy but could not afford (I can only think of 2 off hand - Barry and Alves). - compare the amounts we and other clubs spend on wages and contract renewals. I think the greatest criticism of Rafa this season is failing to back up Torres, especially in the January window. I'm not sure at all how serious we were about Kenwyn Jones, and he may or may not fit the bill, but at least it would have been a step in the right direction. People criticise the AA situation all the time, but Glen Johnson has been excellent I thought - great going forward and sound defensively for me, just had an injury too many. Insua has probably played too much this season but I would like to see what he can do if he can get some rest between games (yes the dreaded word 'rotation' applies to Insua). |
