Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Did I see RH managed a smile as the game ended??
Well, that was the only other expression I saw from him, the other being clueless, more like : Oh shit, what can I do? Maybe throw in a sub or two late in the game and hope for the best! He is tatical naive, no idea what to do and just simply hopeless... Maybe at Fulham, losing a few match is common.. Putting 5 across midfield, not only did we lost the middle battle, Torres and Tim Howard can sit down for tea and not miss a thing.. It was only when Stevie G was pushed further forward when we start to attack but more because Everton had a 2 goal to defend and were content to sit back.. I thought derby matches is where all the passion and determination comes in, which is only displayed by the local lads, ie Stevie and Carra.. Torres, I dunno what to say also.. Pity him for lack of service or dulanz him for no heart... Even a half fit Torres would run to ground for us and pop up with goals when we needed him... To be honest, things werent that back under Rafa, and Souness can now claim he was that bad as it seems when he was in charge...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
it's unimaginable if Pool is playing so badly even with Gerrard n Torres in the team, what will happen if either or both the players were injured? Esp if we have to face the likes of Chelsea in the coming fixture.
Pool's coming fixtures ... courtesy of ESPN: Napoli (A) Blackburn (H) Bolton (A) Napoli (H) Chelsea (H) Wigan (A) At one glance, a list of tough fixtures ahead. Even a home game against a mid table team like Blackburn isnt a sure win these days. And away trips to grounds like Reebok or JJB are always tricky. But if we are not goin to get points from the lower teams, where else could we get the points from? RH would also need to make a critical decision if he's gonna sacrifice Europa for EPL survival. It's amazing how psychological problems off the field can affect even the best players so badly. it's not 1, 2 or 3 players but seemingly the whole team. Replacing RH may or may not resolve the problem. At this juncture, i think only a major revamp of the squad on the next transfer window may turn things around.

NESV has publicly given support for Roy to stay, that's standard PR & what else can we expect from a new owner to tell us ?
John Henry is extremely hungry for wins while Roy is even more cautious than Rafa & failed to deliver. I don't think we can wait till the next tranfer window to revamp the squad in order to avoid relegation,I am afraid it will be too late by then. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Yes I saw that too as he shook hands with the smaller team....damn hell throughout the entire match whenever they zoom in on him...his face shows nothing to say he has confidence in his tactics and his players...and some how I think Liverpool may have got the raw end of the deal in getting Joe Cole for free, obviously Chelsea knew something that they didn't...it obvious his best years were behind him..

But it is true RH has not succeeded in his coaching so far. We had no tactical cohesion and Evershit just overran us. Agree that Torres is being asked to do too much on his own. Half our team are midfielders and they are not supporting Torres enough. Cole is being asked to play on the wing where he is less effective. We are lacking serious width and one problem I hate to say this is when Reira left - he was one of our few true wingers for a long time and he gave the team balance. Quote:
But one thing, I don't think we can use the off-field excuse anymore in the coming games. Got to pull our socks up ourselves. Henry and Co. are known to be ruthless. RH may or may not survive the January cull. |

RH can't always be covering the players' ass when some of the super-stars are not performing at all. Weak links that had had been identified but not rectified: Left-back - Paul Koche is too weak physically, allow too many crosses A creative midfielder - someone in the mould of Sneidjer or our ex Xabi who could dictate play and provide the killer pass / assist A able strike partner for Torres - period. And 2 out-and-out width midfielders - after Reina and Yossi depart, where's the width? And the ultimate weakest link? RH. Tactics used too predictable, does not suit the current breed of players, and ultimately doesn't warrant any positive results. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Bro, You got it rite! Those were the weak links currently. But don't be too positive that the new yanks will cough out big money for RH to spend! I think CB is also another link to look at! JC is good but coz of his age, speed is a factor!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Saw the match, just could not be believe that Lucast is in the starting lineup.
The midfield is weak....we lost in that area... Defence is the worst i ever seen in my years as a pool fan. How many goals do they want to concede??!!!! JC is getting old....just can't keep up anymore... Not like Hyppia.....another solid defender whom we lost... Not sure to be happy about the takeover.... Coz i am very sad about the lost confidence the team used to have. We are Liverpool and not a bottom of the table team!!!! |
|
||||
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Hyppia left on his own device coz he realized that he is aging and could not cope withe the pace of the EPL.Heard that he will be back soon to become one of the backroom staff. As for Lucas...ain't his job to confuse the referre?
