JAKARTA AIRPORT SECURITY OFFICERS SUSPECTED OF DRUGGING, RAPING CHINESE WOMAN .node-article .field-name-link-line-above-tags{float: right;}.node-article .field-name-ad-box-in-article {float: left;margin: 15px 15px 10px 0;}.node-article .field-tags{clear: both;} Post date: 27 Dec 2014 - 9:06pm The state-owned operator of Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Angkasa Pura II, has suspended two security officers for allegedly drugging and raping a Chinese woman. “To help the investigation process currently being carried out by the police, Angkasa Pura II decided to take internal steps by suspending the aviation security officers,” Angkasa Pura II secretary Daryanto said in a statement released yesterday (Dec 26). Two security officers aged 32 and 26 have been named suspects after allegedly raping the Chinese national while she was unconscious. The 26-year-old woman arrived at Soekarno-Hatta on Dec 20, late at night. The men are believed to have offered to take her to a hotel near the airport. The woman was found crying at the airport the next day, making clear to police officers what had apparently happened. Police then contacted the Chinese embassy in Jakarta and the woman was reportedly sent home. Police have named the men suspects but have not arrested them, saying it was unlikely the two would attempt to flee. Mr Daryanto said Angkasa Pura II would cooperate fully with the police investigation. He added that the company would immediately conduct an internal evaluation and re-train its staff to make sure similar incidents will not happen again. “Angkasa Pura would like to apologise to the public for this case,” Mr Daryanto said.
