Regardless of what your opinion is, whether you curse and swear or give any name calling, in my opinion it is only a matter of mindset as i do not think there is anything wrong in asking a dowry, as much as possible i do hope for the success of a marriage and that at the day of the wedding day, that the bride would find happiness and that i too have founf my happiness, 幸福, traditions is a norm and isn't there such a thing as bride price which is what the groom brings to the bride's family, in this society, which ever side bring tye wealth of whichever side's family, this is done in goodwill, for those who think other, i would just treat it that they do not have the mental capacity to accept a very old tradition, even if it is a small amount where a groom gives to the bride the 四点金,to me it is only a matter of whether it is a small amount or a large amount, it is a matter of acceptance within what you can find and the willingness of the other party to give.
