Just tips for using Taxi at Batam

if you arrived at Batam center ferry terminal :
use the skybridge to mega mall. in mega mall you can book using gojek or grab without the threat from local taxi.

if you arrived at harbourbay ferry terminal :
just walk to Shu Guo Yin Xiang Batam near there have pickup location for grab or gojek.

All in all, damage was 376,000IDR (~SGD 37.6) for massage + HJ, 50,000 IDR (~SGD 5) for oil and 200,000IDR (~SGD 20) = 626,000IDR (~SGD62.6) all in. WORTH IT and will be back! Singapore cannot even get massage at that price.

Like another bro suggested, if you just want a good massage with HJ, you could try Veenew spa, can choose the ML via the photo on the screen. You can even look at their tiktok and photo at their instagram, so the difference wont be too big, WYSIWYG apart of some photoshop.

Any recommendation for a place with live band and dancing floor? And is reasonably crowded on weekdays? Don’t want a place like NoName bar which is practically empty during weekdays. The band will continue to play but only a couple of people are there.

Weekdays quite hard. Can check out the following:
- Holywings Live Band Area (Liveband very good IMO. More atas. Cannot really dance on dancefloor at the live band area but for sure can pick up girls there from other tables)

- Square @ iHotel Level 2 (No dancefloor but got local uni chicks and FL around)

- Foreplay (There can dance, but the crowd very hit/miss)

Thanks for explaining the shopping mall part. Regards to the skybrige, only open in later morning. If you take 8am ferry, no chance. Must cross road.

For my experience, it is hard to get Grab or GoCar at Harbour Bay. Maybe the fare is too low, so drivers not interested to accept bookings. Anyway taxi fare from Harbour Bay to Planet Holiday or Harmoni Suites is just RP50,000. Whereas it is much easier to get the Private Hire car at the mall opposite Batam Centre. Taxi fare from Batam Centre to Nagoya cost RP150,000 compare to under RP40,000 on either GoCar or Grab Car, saving much significant. There are also more ferry service at Batam Centre, however journey take longer . Ferry trip takes extra 10 minutes and road journey to Nagoya from Batam Centre also takes extra 20 minutes.

Do you know what’s the price like? I read some reviews which were like 2 years ago for Square. They say cover charge is 200,000 ($20) for a beer. That sounds expensive. Do you know the prices at Holywings and Foreplay? Foreplay is not non-smoking right? Not looking to pick up girls; just want to listen to live band performance. Like in Bangkok Soi Cowboy. How about Grand Dragon? I read it’s good and cheap.
