I don't use Grab nor Gojek apps, i use the hotel feeder service instead, hehehe...but the inconvenient part is i have to abide to the hotel's driver's timing. But today i build such a relationship with everyone in the hotel that i do have to abide to their timing all the time anymore.

The inconvenient part of grab and other online taxi service is that one has to walk about 10 mins or so away to get one. Not factoring in the waiting time yet. (my friend/s with me uses Maxim app, instead of Grab/Gojek app, claims to be cheapest)

The inconvenient part of using Gojek aka motorbike taxi is one has to use a mostly dirty shared helmet to commute.

The inconvenient part of using Hotel's f.o.c feeder service is i have to abide to their fixed timing but even when i have already beat that part, there are still issue. Hotel drivers usually off duty at 6pm to 7pm. After which, no more transportation for me.

To date, i am still looking at my most convenient way to commute in Batam whichever best suits me.

I tend to keep quiet cause upstairs I see people complaining about 8k RP lo. Tbh one octopuss at $78SGD is already lower priced then my regular bonks in Singapore. Heck even geylang is no longer $50.

I recommend place people say expensive, I recommend masseuse, people say not their type. Tbh ymmv and Batam is such a huge playground with so many options. Go explore lor, places are already pointed out and I can only eat slim ones & below 30. Won't change 😆. Never try never know, try before I also go again just to see, like someone prompt me above to try new home again.

Bro, as mentioned earlier, different people has different point of view & different level of tolerance (tolerance over waiting time & causes of inconvenience etc).

For me who takes FREE transport provided by hotel, i will also say 8k rupiah is high too.

(believe me, i have been arguing for a long time with bro Blackpage in this thread over the issue of 10k rupiah taxi fare savings about 9 to 10 years ago & we are still friends today)

I often tell my friends who are with me in Batam, focus on the informative topic in this thread (& online) and not on the person who shares it.

I am not sure about others but i have been paying almost the same price before-covid-time and after-covid-time on girls in Batam (& Singapore too).

Ferry prices may have gone up by almost triple (for me & friends) but hotel prices has come down for me. Hence, it somehow evens the odd.

I used to visit Batam 3 to 4 times a month, but today i only visit it once a month. Then again, the number of days i am in Batam is still quite similar to visiting Batam 3 to 4 times a month.

Hehehe...why do you even "recommend" in the 1st place? I don't recommend a certain place or a certain girl to anyone anymore, bro. I only direct bros here to an area of Batam and ask them to explore on their own instead. Reason/s is, i cannot define another person's fate （我不能逆天改命).

Believe me, same girl in Batam can charge different prices to different customers at different times. And same girl serving different man, service level can also be different too. Different dick in the same hole, also different feelings, right?

On top of this, girls turnover rate also quite high in Batam's entertainment entities too. So why recommend any places to others? I don't do that anymore. I dont even keep most girl's contact number.

Hehehe...if your budget is around S$78 per pop, no harm trying. My Batam motto is try one time no good, it does not mean whole place (or other girls in there) is not good. Only thing my budget is very much lower, only "100k rupiah HJ and 200k rupiah FJ", thats why i cannot afford to try.

Good advice 😃. I do stay cheap whenever I'm not doing my mattress runs with whichever loyalty programme I have and it's nice and good too. Just like some places have some really good gems, some may follow you back for no cost at all. It's really a YMMV land. Just go to (Holywings) and you would see all the MLS at major points there on their off days spending all your monies. Some like Planet so they can get their fix they are missing from where they from.

Bro, there are all kind of cheongsters. Some are rich. Even rp1 juta still cheap to them. Some visit 2 or 3 times in a year. 1 juta also sup sup soy to them. We are here to share good lobang, how to spent less and avoid being shortchange. I booked penuin to jln bengkong. GB rp 31k. GJ rp23k. Thats 25% i am getting. Same comfort and same services. Even saved rp10k it can do some wonders. But i am not sharing here. Wait people will say 90cts nia. Lol.

The chinese cewek taxi driver you got is good lobang. Thats why i said there are many gems in batam. True life experience from yours truely. Be it at the mall, hotel, jetty and even while you are walking or sightseeing, gems are there for the taking. But one need to be patience. Only applicable to cheongsters who frequent regularly. Those 1 or 2 nights stay better go to those usual places to do their booking.

I suppose its just luck. Upon reaching jln bengkong, after meeting my friend, i decided to take a walk. I love to walk, sightseeing. Feeling hungry. Was told theres a seafood rest nearby. Yeap agreed, I went mostly all this penuin and utama area, only tried 2 girls from FL and 1 from mall that not from FL. Tried some SPA but mostly rush for time and there is a tons of ST service ceweks keep random msg me also.

It depends on individual preference. For me, when I went Batam 1st time, I already tried to go to my hotel(former Formosa) by walking using Google Map. Ever since, each time I visit batam, I will always walk to the hotel from the ferry terminal even if I have friends tagging along 😁
You get to see some places you don't usually see as transport/tourists normally will not pass by the area.

See? 10 yrs already. Imagine how much u had save for rp10k all these years. But for my case i need to take transport. Because time is so precious even though at times i stayed 10 days straight. So why would i be so stupid to pay rp8k or 25% more just for single trip? Thats why i dont like to cheong with sinkies. Everywhere they go they will say cheap cheap cheap. Only spoilt market!

My first field report as newbie in Batam.

Today morning around 5am, I walked from Penuin market to the Apotek Vita Farma. Not too far and took almost 20-25 minutes to walk. The sky still dark and sunrise around 5.45am.

I went inside Apotek Vita Farma which is directly opposite Da Vienna hotel building which was totally dark. I went in without any idea what to buy and just to ensure the pharmacy still open. They are well stocked with products and medicines.

Along the way, saw plenty of folks gathered inside Tua Pek Gong temple. I joined the morning aerobics exercise. Then walk back to prepare for my breakfast.

All I did was to read up what was shared in this thread and thank you all for sharing.

I hope dun get upset with me for not sharing juicy sex report.
