I still remember during my playing days when uncle Choo Seng Quee keep drilling into us dun always attack blindly. There is a time for attack and a time for defence and a time to do NOTHING but keeping the game safe Never mind..... let this be an experience in BR's learning curve and hope he will be a smarter manager next season. |

Gutted
But it ain't over till the Fat Lady Sings! Come what may, hope the Reds win their last 2 matches with a bang, Suarez going over the 31 goal mark with the team breaking the 100 goal mark. It has and still continues to be a fantastic journey this season. Only sad thing, got to feel for Steven Gerrard at the moment. Come you Reds! YNWA |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I must say that I do say with the brothers disappointment in this game. However I take it that the Reds went down fighting. Just imagine if Liverpool had won the game nobody would be watching the next 2 games as we know Liverpool will win the title. Since it happens it the title chase has become a 3 horse chase again.
We need to take things in perspective . Liverpool started the season being 7th in the league last season. This season Liverpool had done extremely and qualified for the Champions League. Whatever extra that Liverpool gets if any are bonus. BR had done an extremely well job this season considering the constraints he had faced. Lack of funds and lack of quality players. The players had overtime gel as a team. Liverpool can't compare with the likes of Manchester City , Chelsea , Arsenal , Manchester United and Spurs as Liverpool lack the funds to do a good job. So despite the setback the team faced yesterday , lets continue to give our support to the team until the very last game. It ain't over till its over. YNWA. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Let's be gracious losers guys. No point blaming JM for playing negative football and winning ugly. In all fairness I think the Chelsea players did a very good job shutting down our attacking machines Suarez, Raheem n Coutinho, cutting out the passes into the box n restricting us to shooting outside the box.
While I still find it hard to swallow the cruel n heartbreaking manner which we lost, I accepted the fact we lost to a very well organized n disciplined team which was in no way a 'weakened' one. Let's be very truthful, our performance last night, save for our defenders was at best average. Had the match dragged on goalless til the last hour or so I'm sure both managers would hv gladly settled for a point. Alas the calamitous goal killed us all the way.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Should Manchester City win the next game, City will be level on points with Liverpool and goal difference will play a pivotal role. However, I am going to be brave and assume it will be fibrous to take 3 points from Goodison Park, let alone score 3 goals.
A game lost does not mean the title lost. Come On You Red Men. We Go Again ! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
JM lead his team to Anfield with a gameplan to frustrate. It's unfortunate Stevie G had a slip and resulted in a goal. They came to play for a point but got all 3 instead. We could have at least get a point out of this match if not for that unfortunate slip. But well, it could happen to anyone and we just have to move on.
Anyway, it's not over until all 38 games had been played. Expect more twist and turn to the title race before the season is over. Let just concentrate on getting the job done in our final two matches. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Call me racist if u want.
Somehow chelsea always have a striker who like to score against us and caused damages. From the previous Jimmy Flyod Hasselbank, to the recent Didier Drogba, to the now Sameul Eto and Demba ba....knn all Orr-Ehh Still recall the only time we managed a win at Stamford bridge was a Emile Heskey goal... Think BR should consider recruiting a Orr-Ehh striker, to counter this jinx? |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
No I think there was a couple of season where we managed to beat them at Stamford Bridge, correct me if I am wrong but the score line was 1-0 each time and courtesy of Alonso and Kuyt..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Really disappointed with the manner of the defeat and of course Steven Gerrard's unfortunate slip to allow Demba Ba to take advantage and score. Whatever it is, the match is over and the better team won.
Yes, Chelsea came to Anfield with their "second" team and played very defensively right from the first whistle. But in truth, Jose Mourinho got it spot on knowing that Liverpool would thrive if they were allowed the space. We must not let this match affect us and we must approach the next game away to Crystal Palace in the same manner like what we have done all season. We cannot speculate whether if Man City will drop points in their match against Everton, we can only concentrate on nothing less than 3 points against Crystal Palace. As long as we are in the title race mathematically, we should fight all the way to the wire. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I believe Chelsea win last night , there is no effect on liverpool. Liverpool will bounce back and win the rest of matches.
This is Anfield, You shall never walk alone.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
all the so called football expert are commenting BR being naïve o his tactic... all these people r really talking cock...
we did not loss because we were caught on the counter while we were all out attacking, we lost because of an unfortunate individual mistake... even we've parked our bus like Chelsea, anybody might still just have made the same mistake... JM did a great job in getting the job done, but I can't help wondering what is his mafia boss thinking after watching the match... he must have fainted seeing his hundreds of million being used to park buses..!!!
