Like that only a few hundred dollars only no big deal lah.

Why is there a need to tekan ppl out to make a living. U feel proud and very big shot spending such small amount of money to tekan ppl meh?

I think most of the time only ppl with low self esteem need to do that to try to prove that they have money (although very little only) and power (actually none at all). There is a very big misconception that your money is bigger than others. Pls realise its the same value.

There are many nice customers who spend much more than u but do not resort to such methods that's why they get good service.

Just like some insurance agents who cannot take no for an answer, sometimes u have to send a very strong message across to them that u r really not interested in their services.....Bro SC did not actively seek out the singers n band members n tekan them with his above antics....On the contrary, he was pestered to make 'donations' n he is sending a terse message on how much value he is placing on his every dollar n cents when he is approached...Nothing wrong with that....

Big or small money is relative....When we buy a car that costs $200,000 sports car, do u consider that big money?? But this money is peanuts compared to the purchase price of a ferrari....So if some ferrari buyers r easy going n do not require some of the rebates provided by the distributor, does asking for such rebates as a Mazda / VW buyer became unbecoming of u??

you can say I terkan singers?

If the singers want beg for flowers, 'force' customers to buy flowers. This is my method.

If they want flowers, they want tips, work for it. They have a choice to decide whether to drink finish the glass. If they don't finish, they get $10. If they finish, they get 5 flowers extra per glass they finish.

It is a win-win situation for them. If this is what they want, I give them. They have a choice not to finish my glass. It all depends who need who more.

I did not say my money is big deal and as big a bullockcarts wheel but it delivers a strong message as to how much extent some people will go for the sake of money. If I can buy, I can pay, I don't even borrow a single cent from you, you don't even have the right to ask me how am I going to spend my money.

C'mon, please wake up your ideas. We are in a bar, a nightspot where flowers, lady drinks, tips and $$$ is what it all matters.

If you feel that singers beg for flowers and repeatedly asking for LDs is right and you think that giving them money is no problem, by all means go ahead. It's your money. I wouldn't be stopping you and none of us should even be teaching you how to spend your money.

the singers, GROs are here in Singapore to earn as much money as possible in the shortest time possible.

The reality is they are nice to us, because we are customers. We spend money in the bar.

Many a times, we get to see how some of these people will try to 'tamba' in an extra 1-2 flowers when settling bills. I mean to give the benefit of doubt, we are high on alcohol, so just give and take (but most often is give and no take). My friend experienced it a couple of times too. We keep 1 eye closed since its good to cheong happy. But the way we 'act blur' often gives these people a chance to try their tricks on us 1 step further. There was one occasion where I caught them red-handed by pretending to be drunk when the whole night I was only drinking green tea.

i see your point.

my main issue is there's no need to use money to tekan ppl physically. getting rebates from buying a mazda does no harm physically...just trying to strike a good deal that's all. i have completely no issues or argument with u over that.

what is disturbing to know is that most of the time its ppl with self esteem issue that need to use money to prove a point.

to use your car example, i would say its like buying a mazda but telling the saleswoman to give u a blowjob b4 u do. comeon man its not like u r buying a maserati. and ppl who do buy maserati do not ask for blowjobs. pardon me if this may sound too extreme but i am just using it as an example.

u can already see some threads where ppl discuss about trying to sleep with their insurance or property agent if they want their business. Most of the time its just some ppl who spend an insignificant amount. but maybe to them its alot.

The point i wish to put across is some ppl like to spend abit of money and think its a damn big deal and can choose to tekan the service provider. those who really spends alot behave in a more diginifed and respectful way to those who serve them.

The point is there are singers who beg for flowers and LDs.
Singers ask for tips, flowers, drinks. I give them drinks, they finish I give them flowers. If that glass of drink, they can't finish it, why should I give them flowers or even tip them? This is night entertainment.

If they think the drink taste bad, they have the choice not to drink. Why do they do that? They drink because they want my flowers. As simple as that. If today, I don't give them tips, no flowers, you think they finish every drop or do you think you look like Richard Gere?

I do not think I have a lot of money, I did not prove any point. Just that you could not accept my method on dealing with singers who beg for flowers. but this is the way on how I spend it. I don't get money from you, how I spend it is up to me. The day I need to take money from you, then come and preach to me how I spend it.

End of the day, even if I spend like this in TAM, Las Vegas, or even T OKyo, you will still come in and say I use money and terkan people. Regardless of how I ask them to drink.

You already drifted too far. If you feel that one day people are terkaning the singer and asking them to drink is too much for them, you pay them not to drink lor.

If today the singer ask for tips, flowers and someone pays the singer $1000 to down half bottle of Chivas, will you pay the singer $1000 not to down it? The money is on the table and the singer decides whether she wants to down it or not. Of course without money, you think she wants to drink? With money, the thought will fly across her mind.

It is very common.

There was once this singer upon me reaching the place, haven't even sit on the chair, told me later she go on stage and sing, I give her 5 flowers. I tot she was drunk. So told her, you sing, i give 2 flowers. Refused, even argue with me. I told her 2 flowers thats it, take it or leave it.

She said ok, went on stage, then the person selling the flower ask me how many to give her, I said 2. The person go to stage hang her 5 flowers, came to me and ask me for $50. I told her I said 2 why 5? she said hang liao on the singer, so how?

Oh great, super con job on me by 2 people. I didn't argue, paid up the $50, then got the waiter to get ready some drinks.

The next song when she sang, I brought the glass to her with a $10 note. Told her finish the drink and get flowers. She even said if finish must give flowers. I said sure.

She finished 3 glasses and when came down, said I terkan her. She even challenge me, if she finish 1 more glass on my table, can i hang somemore. I said can, you drink 2 more, I hang more.

She finished the 2 drinks and then went backstage. Total 5 whiskies mixed with beer. The singer drop dead drunk backstage and cannot sing anymore for the rest of the night, sleeping soundly in her dreams.

I stop buying flowers for the next 3 visits, sensing my displeasure, from then on, never dare ask me buy flowers, buy drinks, buy finger food.
