They are all in close promxity to each other, so just go and ask the rate from each shop.. It'll only take you 5 whole minutes...

Usually, if you change big sum of money, can nego for a better rate than published rates

Yes, I totally agree with what u're saying.. i don't mind paying my fair share (I never take advantage of the drivers), but indeed I don't see why we should pay exorbitantly more than locals..

Eg Nagoya Hill to Sport Massage at 50k is ridiculous. Even cabs in Singapore don't cost $5.20 for a one-kilometer ride, and petrol is so cheap in Indo at abt 85 cents per liter...

Btw, it's now 60k from HBB to NED, not 50k... Haha...

16th Batam Trip from 12th to 14th May 2015 - Summary

Reference to my 15th Batam Trip.


Hmm...how should i describe this group trip,it seems that there are all hits and no misses,the bros who turns up are all professionals from different walks of life,from the youngest to the eldest. There is a total of 4 bros + me.2 who are suppose to stay for 2D1N,2 are for 3D2N. And between there is one linking up on the 2nd day. A lot of PM coordination required becos all who attend this group trip are new faces,didnt know what to expect especially with people whom i never met before and i believe everyone will surely have some level of uncertainties. Anyway,ice was easily broken in a while.

A day before the trip,i thought to myself who will be the pilots who will fly the "aeroplane"...hmm...the plane didnt took off,which is a good start. Also mean i picked the right "friends",hehehe...

Ok,ok...back to the summary :

In the group,there are 4 bros,i shall name them accordingly in bro LA,bro CN,bro HT and bro H88 (from another forum).

Everything was as per my Beginner's Walk-Through Guide until we reach Harbour Bay. I forbid any changes of SGD to IDR in both Harbour Front and Harbour Bay as their rate was between 9500/SGD - 9700/SGD. We need to head to Kaha Travel to buy the special offer Hotel voucher,so we need IDR,so we head to the money changer opp Formosa Hotel before heading to Kaha,which is a big round. We got a 9830/SGD for day 1 and 9850/SGD for day 2.

Hotel room was 475k/night for 1st night and 525k for 2nd night becos of the Indonesia Holiday on 14th May. Those who stays for 1 night in Batam pays 475k,those who stays 2 night pays 1 million (475k+525k). After checked in,and checking the rooms,we gathered and met up with bro HT who has arrived a day in advance on 11th May.Since time is still early,our 1st destination was Lunch at the Meximo Pub area.

Total bill turn out to be 135k with drinks and an EXTRA bowl of wan tan soup for 5 pax (lunch is cheap,so its on me).

After lunch would be "girls shopping time" and we visited the joints below :

MM also has 2 crazy priced 1.5 mil to 1.8 mil SSYT girls which was not on displayed (hidden and already pre-booked),hehehe...but remember,according to my girl from MM..as long as customer/s finished 3 shots,the girl are free to go as accord by their OKT ,so i am not taking down MM's name from my signature's "to avoid joint" until further future clarification.

After picking our girls,we assigned our respective booking joints to send all girls to my room at 530pm as our next gathering time is set at around 5pm. Bro HT go grab his own girl,bro CN,bro LA and bro H88 goes to Relax Massage (opp Formosa Hotel) to have a Relax clean session while i head to my planned place,Newton Spa.

The place is a one stop entertainment place with hotel rooms,KTV,pubs and Discotheque. Place looks a bit weird,very dim,very little sunlight was able to shine in as the shape of the interiors has many sharp corners and curves which disallow sunlight coming in even if its brood daylight when i was there.

Massage was at the 2nd floor,upon reaching there took a few photo shots. They have one pretty Chinese-looking receptionist,8/10 there..lol.

Below are photos of the Massage Price List ,the Hotel room hourly rates,reception counter and the given queen size bed of their VIP massage room.

Main reason why i am unlikely to return,not becos its expensive (it isnt),its becos the massage is only so-so...in my 15 trips to Batam,i had the legendary piano massage at Princess Massage,but it was still an enjoyable piano massage with some level of strength,but this one really is pure piano. That is still ok to me,but what really tick me off is NO HOT WATER with such a big bath room,not even shower gel to use after the very oily massage. The masseur has to step out for 5 mins to retrieve a small bottle for me. The girl was 23 year with a 7/10 looks.

The reason why i took the photos is becos 2 beautiful girls just walked out of the massage shop to buy something from the motor bike guy shown in the pic,hehehe...also there is another shop called S & N Saloon beside the above picture shop that has 2 transvestites walking out too. Total bill for 5 pax is 497k rupiah (ultra expensive in my term). The look of the food court is like any shopping mall food court one sees in Sillypore,except there arent much people there. Food is ok,everyone's happy enough. But i still think Kroepoek Food Hall would have been a better choice for its ambience. Bro HT suggested we head for some street food store behind lucky plaza,but due to wrong timing,we didnt manage to find what we are looking for,which is the popular Fried Kway Tiao (they finished selling) and had the Ou Luak (Fried Oyster with omelette) instead.

We also have 2 person not taking sea food,including myself and its an after dinner thingy,so we didnt order very much of it. After this bonus meal,we took a little walk back to hotel to help digest all the food we ate.

It was past 10pm,the street are dark. And we past by the BC Billiard Centre Pubs and KTV and we walk up to look see. Rather Majestic feel at 1st sight,like going to Tian An Men KTV or Tycoon Night Club in Sillypore,hehehe....

Some information on record on BC Billiard Centre Pubs and KTV. Their minimum Room charge is 2 mil for large room,1.5 mil for middle sized room and 1 mil for small room. That means if you spend on drinks (beer,wine,liquor) of above 2 mil ,large room is free and likewise for middle and small room.

Happy hour is 1pm to 8pm where there is at least a 30% discount on total bill if i dont remember wrong.They do give a bit more discount if you are order wines and liquor. The girls seating tip is about 200k to 250k the last i was told,might have increase a bit over time.

No,we didnt patronise this place,we just walked in to have a look and talk talk a bit. We all left after about 10-15 mins of look see and back to hotel. Hehehe...i am not comfortable there even tho they have some the most beautiful girls butterflying around...lol.

Back to hotel,then to room,everything is rather SOP from here on until we meet for breakfast the next morning at 9am.

Some guys came down early to try the hotel's FREE breakfast,before heading to Bai Long at Penuin Wet Market for the planned REAL breakfast. Yesterday,lunch at Meximo Pub area Wan Tan mee,i believe everyone's hungry,so it might fog their judgement on a good tasting meal on that day itself. Today after everyone (except me) was already somewhat filled with something,i wish to find out how they will find REAL thing,hehehe...the Wan Tan Bak Cho Mee from Bai Long,hehehe....

Of course ,there are also other good stuffs like the char siew rice,chicken rice banana fritters etc in the area,i guess i will leave that to the next trip then,hehehe...total bill inclusive of drinks all in is 135k for 5 pax. So EXPENSIVE as compare to the one at Meximo Pub,hehehe...dont forget we had another extra one bowl of Wan Tan soup (w/o mee) at Meximo,but not in Bai Long,hehehe... This EXPENSIVE meal is on me too..lol.

After the REAL breakfast,the guys wish to do some shopping before heading back to hotel to pack and head back Sillypore. Bro H88 is suppose to stay for 3D2N,already paid for the 3D2N room but need to leave due to last min work call. Bro HT needs some revitalising at Kings,4th floor of Formosa,bro LA also needs to head back the same day as bro H88 as that was original plan,so the next night,i will be left with myself and bro CN. Anyway,we all head to Nagoya Hill Mall supermarket except bro HT. Those guys can really shop,took them over an hour to do the shopping at a supermarket,hehehe...but luckily they does that cos after shopping,we realise there was a very heavy downpour...and we didnt even realise it until we walk out of the mall. So we spend some time outside J.Co for a bit with our coffee (thanks bro H88 for the coffee) until the rain stop before we left for Hotel where those who need to leave needs to check out. Bro CN and me see the other 3 bros off Harbour Bay and home sweet home,they are gone.

Back to Hotel,we are left with 2 person and 3 Hotel rooms,hehehe....bro CN needs some rest as he is almost like me...exhausted from the over exertion the previous night,i went to another massage parlour (not Altalanta tho)to revitalize,the place is near BCS and has nothing shout about cos i just need to have a decent massage and a short 2 hr nap,hehehe...

Bro CN extended his girl for another night whereas i pick a new girl from Orchid. My girl is suppose to come at 530pm,bro CN's girl was already in-room. Me and bro CN then went to Indo Rasa to have some light meals since we are both not hungry cos of the heavy breakfast and thereafter we part for our own "resting time".

So i have 270k in total value and end of dinner i still have 90k value in it and that makes us spend a total of 180k for our dinner for 4 pax.

On our way back,we notice a Jap restaurant Bento Tei along the way at Nagoya City Walk. We decide to come over the next day for lunch.
