Indons refer the egg and mince meat filling as murtabak Mesir. ( Mesir = Egypt )

The sweet versions are just that..murtabak manis.( Manis= Sweet).

Btw..in Arabic 'murtabak' is actually meat in yellow arabic rice. Its not even bread.

A short report on Batam I have been a couple of weeks back.
Went there for a 2D1N on the weekend with a couple of friends, took Majestic ferry, cost about $32 for 2ways.
Went in early around 9am Sg time. My first time to sekupang, not as lively as batam center, but I think is much nearer to harbourfront, took about 40mins to reach.

Once arrive, around 9am ID time, since it is early, we check in to ACE hotel, near nagoya plaza, cost of taxi from Sekupang to hotel is 70k, able to bargain down from 100k. Took us around 40mins to get the hotel by cab.
At the hotel manage to check in early, quite a decent hotel, clean and quiet, service is professional. One downside room is very small. I still prefer Famosa hotel(with larger rooms for friends to come in and relax)

So just rest at the hotel room till 11am than we went hunting. Went to couple of joints, PI2, Gb, Nb, and so on. Got mine at new berry.

Girl name is Yuni if i'm not wrong. 2 Pics below.





Stats than explaination,

Cost : 1.2 Juta, can't bargain even I tried for 20mins bargaining.
Looks : 7/10 (womanly)

Had sometime in the spa than head back to our hotel.

Back at our hotel, it was around 6pm we than decided to go to Windsor to have some beer and look around for nice ladies. Told my girl to stay put in the hotel and just order room service, but she seems very sad and told me how can I just leave her in the room for so long, she started been emo and told me she wanted to leave, ask me for tips, but I apologize to her and told her I will bring her out but she insisted of going back, not sure if it is my fault or she is acting. After the drama, we went straight to Windsor for dinner and alcohol. First ordered 5+1 budweiser bottle, slowly drink away and look at the beer girls. I manage to spot a few very beautiful waitress too, they are working for this seafood stall (If you know what I'm talking about) I manage to get one of her name and number (Lina) really beautiful. Please do let me know. =D Yea, so food time, ordered tiger prawns, crab, baby octopus, fried calamari, Tie Ban Tofu, Kangkong and of course more beer. =) Damage for the meal isn't cheap, cost around 900,000rp. After that, nothing happening, went back to hotel chat and back to our room and sleep.

Next morning, woke up, gather and went downstairs for free breakfast, just a light one rested and pack. Once done, we check out our hotel room and headed to ESKA spa (Clean) took up the one of the massage with the hot cloth, can't remember which one, place is very nice, service is good and massage is very very good and affordable. After ESKA went back to Octopuss, reached around 11am. Just opened everything was dark so I asked if there is the 30% discount promotion from 11-2pm. The counter said that promotion does not exist anymore, not sure why I see the advertisement everywhere. Took the same package, but this time round massage is not up to standard, felt it dropped like at least 30%, maybe its too early so I think I wont go back there too early in the future. Paid up and left.

We wanted to go to indo rasa for food but we decided for the same place as yesterday in the restaurant for the comfort. Since we had nowhere to go and our ferry is at night, we just slack in the restaurant and chatting with each other. We also catch a movie to kill a little bit of time. After the show, it was about 4pm, our ferry is at 8.45pm. So we decided to go back to spa again,hahaha. But this time to Atlanta spa.

Upon reaching the place, the crew brought us upstairs to change, the jacuzzi area is very smelly, no ventilation, its very humid hot and people are smoking in it, I don't really like it. Waited in the dining room for our girls to arrive. The good thing about this spa is that they have free food compared to Octopuss. Lady host brought us to our room and waited our girl. Girl soon arrive, not too bad look, massage wasn't that great either. Soon turn around pop a GQ, the GQ is in SGD100 for handjob and SGD150 for FJ, i was quite shock at the price and I immediately rejected with a lovely smile and ask her to continue to massage. Her face turned sour and keep promoting to take up one of her services, I just ignored. No massage once the GQ was popped. It happened for my other friends. Massage price is 380000rp excluding HJ. Quite disappointed with the service and the environment of Atlanta.

Right after Atlanta we took a cab to our last food destination, Xiang Xiang



Recommended by a friend of mine. Foodwise was decent with affordable price, not much seafood but just chi zar.

Once done, went back to Batam Center and caught our ferry back Singapore.

Yes,bad news to me as i may seemingly sound. But still i try to make the best out of a lousy situation instead of cursing and swearing.The fault starts with me. I left my phone in my hotel room (I admit,its definitely becos I was careless) ,but i know well enough i cannot lose it. Not an expensive phone,but the data in it is more important than the phone (no nude pics of myself/girls or the sort tho...lol) and my phone line has not been deactivated due to this reason.

I will be heading back to collect my phone soon,maybe next month? Maybe next week? I don’t know,hehehe…

Side note : kind of proud of myself that i can actually live w/o a phone over the last few days,hehehe...and i am also surpise this incident didnt really quite bother me as much i expected .

Yep,but i have to say this,do make sure your cab fare is the same from Harbour Bay to Formosa as compare with from Harbour Bay to Kaha then to Formosa. Otherwise it will end up become in a penny wise and a pound stupid situation.

Double check all online prices too. Agoda prices are all exclude tax and booking.com are all inclusive of tax.

Depending on which ferry company,you may ask the reception in your hotel to help you make all the necessary changes as soon as possible to safe guard your return ticket back to Sillypore. A booking number will usually be given to you.

I learn from a samster by the name Black Page here to pay only after i get out of the taxi thru the car window. Any further argument due to twisting of words from the driver side,i am already at the hotel and i need not have to heck care the driver.

Check outside your cigarette box,the one that you bought from Harbour Bay, does your box has those ugly-looking commercial printing photo that discourage smokers from smoking and telling you that you get cancer if you smoke? The one from Harbour Bay could be DFS cigarette with no photo whereas the one at 19k could be local-made cigarette. Both are original,just made in different places. The same cigarette in Sillypore DFS cost S$5 nett per pack (after you check in to custom in Harbour Front to wait for ferry).

Goodway may not be a nice hotel to stay in,try Lai Lai Hotel. They are much nearer to Gold Bird and also receive quite good commendation in this thread even tho it is a 2 star hotel. Cost around S$27 or somewhere there.

Changing your girl is fine,but i believe another bro already said this before,you will be charge for short time after your 1st shot. Which means if you book a girl for 1 million,you dont like her after 1 shot,papi or mami change you another 1 million rupiah girl,you will need to top up between 300k to 500k. If its 2 shot,most time its 500k to 800k. Different booking joint has different rules. And that is why MOST girls in MOST joints at MOST time will hurriedly make their customer/s fire off 1st shot 1st,hence the 1st shot service is better than the 2nd, 3rd and so on...

I do not ask any bros to drop their standard but more towards bringing down their expectation (especially 1st timer or newbie). You do not need a local line. There is always hotel reception who will gladly help you make any local indo calls within Batam. Almost every receptionist knows what most single man goes Batam for,so no need to feel shy.

As i have said this before,which newbie/s (or 1st timer) dont make mistake/s along their 1st few travels (thats if you are new) to Batam.Knowing and recognizing your mistake/s will help you grow and enjoy better in future. Refusing to admit any mistake/s only makes one stagnant ,making their future trips less enjoyable. I also make mistakes in EVERY of my Batam trip till today (its all recorded),i rectify it. Next time dont make again lor...right?

I aim mainly to provide solution/s,all above comments are just my personal perspective,others may not share the same views.

Lastly,i would like to say,let it go and move on,bro...and may you have a better next trip to Batam.
