All SGD values rounded up. Being a budget cheongster, I control how much I spent for every trip to Balai. I usually bring $200 cash from Sat to Sun, $300 from Fri to Sun. Return ferry tickets not included. Thus far, I have found out that the exchange rate at Balai is higher than Singapore. If here you get like 7750, there you can usually get 7800. Bros, please take note. Makes a difference if you exchange a lot of money. The current hotel I stay at, charges only $20(150K) for a standard room, top up $3(20K) and you get a room with bathtub. Good for those who want to soak themselves in a hot bath, alone or together with your booking girl. Of course, there are many hotels charging at different rates. If you are the type who wants more comfort and more in-house entertainment, prepare to pay at least $36(280K) for a decent standard room.
