Many Singaporeans in service industry are very small minded and racist. Behaviour and things that come from locals they're OK with, God help you if you're of the wrong nationality or skin colour though. If I were in your shoes I'd just glare right back at them if they were being judgemental about me fucking a maid, and make sure I go Karen on them with "is there a problem sir? Why are you giving my companion weird looks?" Local service and hospitality people are easy to scare and bully. Not that I like to resort to this but in this case, customer is always right.
