Re: Barcelona - NouCamp Faithful
Barcelona 1 - 2 Sevilla FC : Barca stunned at home
Barcelona have a mountain to climb to retain their Copa del Rey title after slumping to a 2-1 home defeat in the first leg of their last-16 tie with Sevilla. Injuries and international call-ups had left Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez with just 14 seniors players for the trip to the Nou Camp, but the Andalusians came out on top thanks to second-half goals from Diego Capel and Alvaro Negredo, who netted the winner from the penalty spot. In between those strikes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who started the match on the bench along with the likes of regular first-teamers Xavi, Carles Puyol, Thierry Henry, Victor Valdes and Gerard Pique, drew Barca level in the 74th minute. Re: Barcelona - NouCamp Faithful
Tenerife 0 - 5 Barcelona : Messi magic
Lionel Messi scored three and made another as Barcelona overcame a rusty start to hammer Tenerife in the Primera Division. The hosts were by far the better side in the opening half hour and could have been three up within 15 minutes had Alejandro Alfaro done better with a hat-trick of chances - but astonishingly Barca went in at half-time 3-0 up thanks to two from Messi and a rare Carles Puyol goal. Messi completed his hat-trick after 75 minutes before Ezequiel Luna's own goal completed a miserable night for Tenerife, as Barca ensured Real Madrid would not finish the day on top of the league. Sevilla 0 - 1 Barcelona : Holders out of Cup despite win
2 - 2 (On Aggregate), Sevilla win on Away Goals Rule Xavi scored the solitary goal to seal Barca's victory at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. But it is not enough to prevent the Cup holders from getting eliminated from the competition.

Re: Barcelona - NouCamp Faithful
Barcelona 4 - 0 Sevilla FC : Messi hits milestone century
Lionel Messi grabbed his 100th Barcelona goal as Pep Guardiola's side went some way to overcoming this week's Copa del Rey exit at the hands of Sevilla as they beat the Andalusians 4-0 in the sides' league meeting at the Nou Camp. Sevilla defender Julien Escude gave Barca the lead, when he deflected Gerard Pique's shot into his own net shortly after the break. Pedro's 14th goal of the season gave the league leaders a cushion with 20 minutes left and Lionel Messi wrapped up a comfortable win with two strikes late on as Guardiola's men moved five points clear at the top of the table. Re: Barcelona - NouCamp Faithful
Valladolid 0 - 3 Barcelona : Barca set new record
Barcelona's routine 3-0 win at struggling Valladolid saw Pep Guardiola's side finish the first half of the Primera Division campaign unbeaten. The comfortable victory also means the Catalans will be at least five points clear of fierce rivals Real Madrid by the time the 20th round of matches comes around next weekend. In establishing their unbeaten run, Barcelona became only the fifth side to accomplish such a feat, previously achieved by Madrid, Espanyol, Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad. Xavi and Dani Alves struck within the space of two minutes halfway through the first period to give Guardiola's men full control of proceedings, and Lionel Messi added a third shortly into the second period to wrap up a comfortable victory. Sporting Gijon 0 - 1 Barcelona : Pedro seals Barca win
Pedro's goal proved enough to give Barcelona their 16th league win of the season as Pep Guardiola's side edged out Sporting Gijon at El Molinon in the Primera Division. The Tenerife-born winger struck after half an hour to give Barca the lead. Both sides had missed decent opportunities before that, but Guardiola's side were superior virtually throughout. Re: Barcelona - NouCamp Faithful
I m not a die hard Nou Camp fan,but they r a veri great team 2 watch.
Although Josep Guardiola(39 yrs old) is much younger than Real's Manuel Pellegrini(57 yrs old),currently he seems 2 be doing a much better job than Pellegrini. Josep Guardiola succeeded Frank Rijkaard in July 2008 as the manager of Barca. He was a former Nou Camp midfielder, but has relatively no experience in management b4 his appt @ 4 the Top job @ the Nou Camp. But in his 1st season, he has alrdy lead Barca 2 all available major honours in 2009. (UEFA Champions League; Spanish Primera Division; Copa del Rey; Spanish Super Cup; European Super Cup & Club World Cup). Real's Manuel Pellegrini was said 2 be 1 of the most well-respected coaches in Spain. He built his reputation in Chile & Argentina b4 making his name in Europe with Villarreal. The Chilean coach was announced as the manager of Real Madrid in June 2009. He has assembled a veri expensive team, but he needs 2 do much better in order 2 overtake Barca in the La Liga as well as 2 win UCL title. |

Barcelona 2 - 1 Getafe : Nine-men Barca hangs on for win
Barcelona maintained their impressive home record in the Primera Division with victory over Getafe tonight - despite finishing the game with nine men following the dismissals of Gerard Pique and Rafael Marquez. Pique was sent off for a cynical lunge on Rafa Lopez after 24 minutes, although Barca were already a goal to the good by then, thanks to Lionel Messi's brilliant early strike. Pep Guardiola's side never really looked in danger, despite Pique's departure, and their dominance finally paid off as Xavi all but sealed a 17th league win of the season in the 67th minute. Roberto Soldado's stoppage-time penalty pulled a goal back for the visitors and Marquez was sent off for his foul on Kepa Blanco which led to the spot-kick. (excerpt from ESPN Soccernet)

Re: Barcelona - NouCamp Faithful
Atlético Madrid 2 - 1 Barcelona : Barca beaten
Atletico Madrid inflicted a first league defeat of the season on leaders Barcelona to hand bitter rivals Real a helping hand in the title race. Atletico have had plenty of disappointing nights at the Vicente Calderon this season but this was one to remember as early goals from Diego Forlan and Simao Sabrosa earned them their third successive home win over Barca in La Liga. Barca pulled a goal back through Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the first half but they could not find an equaliser and they waved goodbye to their unbeaten record. (excerpt from ESPN Soccernet)

Barcelona 4 - 0 Racing Santander : Barca puts 4 past Racing
Barcelona strolled to an easy victory over Racing Santander on a night of firsts at the Nou Camp. Despite missing several key players through injury and losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic just before the match, Pep Guardiola's side brushed aside a disappointing Racing outfit 4-0, on the back of a fine first-half performance. Andres Iniesta gave the Catalans the lead with his first goal of the season following poor defending by Racing after just seven minutes. Thierry Henry, handed a rare start by Guardiola after being frozen out in recent weeks, scored the second goal from a free-kick with his first of 2010, and Rafael Marquez added a brilliant third with his first of the campaign from another set-piece 11 minutes before half-time. Youngster Thiago Alcantara then added a fourth with his first career goal in the closing stages. (excerpt from ESPN Soccernet)

VfB Stuttgart 1 - 1 Barca : Barca snatched precious away goal
All square after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's second-half equaliser earned Champions League holders Barcelona a hard-fought 1-1 draw from the first leg of their last-16 tie against Stuttgart. Cacau, fresh from his four-goal haul against Cologne at the weekend, gave Stuttgart a deserved half-time lead but Ibrahimovic struck just after the interval to put Barca in the box seat heading into the second leg at the Nou Camp.
