Taxis already earn their commission (the most) from the gals u took. Even commission fm hotels and seafood rest. So u need not have to pay him that much end of ur 3D2N trip. U can opt to pay him end of each evening/nite or u can opt to pay him end of ur 3D trip. As for how much to pay him, it all depend how much time u spent with him and how long he take u round the island or any sightseeing. Its best u arrange with him personally in the hotel with regards to the payment. As u may have to call him now and then and to save on the IDD, go get a Indon SIM card. Sure save u alot!

Frankly, u dont really need a taxi. Unless u want him to bring u sightseeing...which arent many in TBK.

just called maxi hotel for this Saturday (27/3/10) reservation, a guy answer " tidak boleh confirm hari ini bapak, harus telepon esok pagi...."

it means "can't confirm if any available rooms for reservation, you have to call us tomorrow morning sir...".

how about paradise/ paragon? anybody?

Maxi nowadays very popular! Tats y they r confident guest would still check in even after raising their room rates for a few dollars. If u r willing to part S$50 and above, try their New wing. Should have rooms...unless....

Padimas, Rasa Sayang...among the big 5 only had handful of tamus during wkdays. But not with Maxi. So I suppose counter staff dare no commit themselves as its full today and guest may not check out of Maxi.

Paradise and Paragon...should be no problem...delux n above...

well i remember my last trip to balai, they were still constructing the new wing of the hotel which happens to go out very near to the sea.

Come to think of it when i go back i will most prolly take up the new rooms there and see the quality of the rooms in the new wing.

For new wings better take that are near to lift,if you kena the last few ones it is quite dark and quiet walking towards there...

Is that true?

Well i know Balai over the years has had its fair share of ghost haunting etc. but to have that happening in the new wing is a bit of a surprise.

Will need some feedback fr bros who are still regularly going to balai and staying in maxi to confirm that.

I have no problem in the new wing, pretty peaceful. Again hearsay, it at the corridor, and doesn't disturb people one... hee hee....
