If you go by youself to these chicken farms, thats the walkin rate. Laos is a poor country so ST at 300,000kips is ok for them.

A taxi driver drove us to Sithong road to view those ladies and he told us ST is 500,000 kips (obviously the taximan got a cut).

In Sanjiang districts (china town), at a Spa next to Zijin Chen KTV, the man at the counter showed me the photos of these ladies. He quoted us 500rmb for overnight with these ladies. He showed me many photos but I post only some here.

Hi, I want to plan a trip to Laos and have the experience there. If you pay that 500rmb (can pay other currencies?) for that spa lady, you can just bring her to your hotel?

Also, I check that Sithong road is a long road, are those farms scattered around or cluster in some part?

Do they provide the CD? I'm thinking to stay in this area for awhile then move to some other area.

Just went there in July 2022 and the rates were less than 30/60S$ for ST/LT. Cheers.

Ans : You can pay in RMB, Thai baht or laos kip. Yes, the ladies will stay in your room. I believe all the hotels in Sanjiang allow girls to their hotel. When I stayed in Wuzhou Business hotel at only 100rmb per day, they dont even bother to register my details. Wuzhou Business hotel is in front of Jian Guo Grand Hotel. (wuzhou business hotel in vientiane is not listed in agoda and google map) If you wish to stay in Wuzhou Business Hotel, then insist on staying in 2nd floor because the room have 2 beds and so is bigger, moreover this hotel dont have lift. 3rd floor is only 1 single bed. But better is stay in YouYi hotel because everything is nearer, Zijin Chen KTV is just opposite, just across the road and that spa is just next to this ktv.

Farms are scattered however there are 2 that is directly opposite to each other, 1 on the right and the other on the left side of the road. Ask taxi men to bring you to these farms in sithong road because from outside, you wont know which are their farms.

On my next trip, I will explore Impeng areas, should be interesting too.

Theres one more thing I noticed, cars in Vientiane seldom horn, they are patient and give way to each other. And there are many motorcyclists didnt wear helmet.

As transportation in Vientiane can be very expensive, it is good to know that there is a public bus from Sanjiang shopping centre to the Laos-China-railway station. In between there are many stops.

Likewise, there is also a bus service from the Bus Station near Talat Sao to Nong Khai and Udon Thani in Thailand.

I have done a quick currency conversion from Kips to S$. At that time, we got slightly more than 1 million Kips for 100S$. As a matter of fact, the prices for ST/LT had dipped only slightly but we had benefited from the huge devaluation of the Laotian Kips.

Thanks bro. I managed to find all the hotels in Google Map. Wuzhou Business Hotel is in Chinese text 五洲商务酒店. I guess it's convenient for a LT in this area. However, I want to try the ST at Sithong road as well, I hope it is easy to tell the taxi men what I want. Do most of them know and you just ask them directly?

I believe all taxi or tuktuk should know those places in sithong road. However they will quote you 500,000kips for ST as they will earn some commission.

Regarding the commissions charged by driver or other minder, it would be useful if any of your members can communicate in simple Thai or Laos directly with the mamasan, usually the ladies are in charge in the chicken farm, to cut out the commissions. It is better to tip the driver or minder directly.

On the first day, we stayed in V hotel at the riverside, near the night market. On the second day, we went to Sanjiang chinatown to recce and then we finally stayed in Wuzhou Business Hotel (also not listed in agoda, google map), about 5 mins walk to YouYi hotel. The google map coordinates of YouYi hotel is 17.975581, 102.580958

So for the next few days we just anyhow recce the Sanjiang districts and thats how we got to know YouYi hotel. A lady receptionist who spoke fluent cantonese pass me the following name card.

Looking at the map above, the Chinese restaurant "Mian Xiang Yuan" sell very nice food at very reasonable price. Every morning got sell YouTeow(YouCharKuey). I love the wanton soak in sichuan oil, only 35,000kips (the smaller bowl).
