Yes, they can convert baht to rmb. But the best is HV rmb when in sanjiang.

My friend is going back to that sleepy Vientiane again this month because he loves the cheap genuine massage at the Riverside. I might backpack from Bangkok to Vientiane via udon thani and nongkhai to join my friend in Vientiane.

I understand that today there's slight flood in pattaya. I hope my backpack journey won't be affected by any floods.

Prices are quite standard for the China MPs - 300rmb ST 500/600 LT - can bargain I think. The girls in the China MPs in my opinion give slightly better service, especially the ones who can speak some Chinese as they can understand what you are saying. Glad to know that the local scene is still much alive, and it's much catered towards locals. 400k is considered high for them but cheap to us. anyway for LS, prices will drop the later u take them out. it can go as low as 200k to LT them. one problem is just to find transport thru and fro there.

i may go take a look at the chinese shops but there are some better shops which they call it "tea shops" in chinatown. Pre-covid, the girls were quoted at 1.2m for a 2hr session which i never took. supposedly to be the one dragon service.

RMB is really a must have. You will suffer from significant confiscatory like fx losses. What I realise is if you already had gotten the girl contact from the ktv, you can offer them direct and date them out. I offered my girl 1m kip for 6 pm to next day 9 am. But, she on good terms with me, so i didn't mind round up a bit. She also stayed until noon next day. I had to chase her out cos my flight due in afternoon.

But, if no relationship, then hit or miss. I had another girl overnight 12 to next day 6am, she tap me on my shoulder that she gotta go home. Sigh.....

True, Laos girl always hit or miss one.
i got an fb there for now so i'll call her up during 1 of the days and she will bring me around too, pre-covid she told me there was a vietnam ktv in the vn area in vte. i was hoping to go see the girls as she said they are quite pretty. maybe this dec i'll go recee if that place is still open.

Laos is still a great place to visit despite being relatively remote and not easily assessible from other places. The cultural and historical sights are still plus points in retaining a loyal pool of tourists and visitors,further reinforced by the innocence charms of their people as compared to their rapidly commercialised and craftier counterparts in the region. These advantages were further amplified by the rather alarming depreciation of the Kips.

i also kinda forgot what is the area or place in the vte area itself. i only went by once when my fb told me that that ktv is a vn ktv.
That area is where most of the vietnamese stay in vte, just like sanjiang is where all the tiong stay.

[=dearjohn;]I came back from Vientiane a couple of days ago, and am happy to report that the chicken farms near ASEAN road are still alive. I posted a pin on the location some time back in this thread, and it is the same location. I saw about 4-5 shops with about 6 girls each.

My ans = This chicken farm is along Sithong Road. Thanks for sharing your previous Google map coordinates because when a local taximen brought us to this place, I immediately know that this was the correct place.

The only other thing to add is that there are a lot of shops in or around the Chinatown area. I counted at least 7 different shops. If you're not sure where they are, just walk around the Chinatown area in the night and someone will confirm give you a namecard. ....

In Chinatown, in Sanjiang districts, most of the people are Chinese so over here I spoke Mandarin. Elsewhere I communicate using Google translate.

Most understand Thai. Not many understand English.
Ideally, can speak Laos then easier to connect with locals. But, Google translate works wonders too.
Thai is very similar to Laos, according to a friend. I have no idea myself. For sure, being able to speak thai is a plus cos easier to get around and nego with girls.
