a rather predictable result, which draw & 0-0 was a favourite punt among coffeeshop folks.

was kinda disappointed we didnt win cos we'd have gained a significant advantage on d 4th spot had we done so. but cant complain much considering it was quite an even match with both teams cancelling each other out.

yes, Lucas was again drab on many occasions n gave d ball away unnecc. but good job to our defence esp Skrtel who foiled Ade on a few occasions.

AV n Spurs both won big. we gotta work harder in our next match!

Who's going to blame them ?

We are not going anywhere with this management + owners.

Nobody is going to look at Torres & SG when they retire with nothing especially the prestigious league title.
Are they going to stay for the sake of history of the Reds or are they going to move 1 level up to gain what they deserve to have.

No, we do not have the money to keep up with their wages & No - we cannot keep these 2 stars if we cant even compete for a CL place.
These 2 have to be fighting for CL title & EPL title..

This season is a sad case for us even there are so many optimist in this forum.

Rather than diss this or that player, I think the team played well, except one or two stray passes which could have cost us dear. Happy to see Skrtel back in form to the monster we know.

boring match.. agree tat it was a match tat both dare not to lose..

but i dun feel tat we played well, actually i thought as a team, we played quite badly... we are painfully short of cutting edge in the last third of the pitch, no clear cut chance created...

only skrtel and macherano deserved some credit... skrtel showed some fearless tackle agst ade, and macherano was everywhere picking up loose ball and winning 50-50 tackles (thou he's a bit lucky not to get the 2nd yellow card with tat tackle on barry)...
another player i'ld like to single out is gerrard.. not only he's not at his best, but i think his attitude is not very positive recently... remember 1 incident tat insua lose the ball after running into him during a counter attack (actually it was more like he got into the way of insua, as insua is running with the ball towards the goal), he just stopped compaining to insua when insua himself was chasing and trying to win back the ball... tat's not the good example for a captain to show to his young teammate... i always feel tat carragher is a better captain...

glad to see benayoun back in action, he showed more threats in the 20-30 minutes he on the field than all out attackers... he's the only player who carried the ball and took on defenders... but he made a mistake when he tried to stay on his feet when he was tripped in the box...

anyway, stay positive of 4th place... we left 2 real tough matches (man utd away and chelsea home)... and torres and benayoun r back in action, sketrl back in form... johnson shall be back too...

I think we should be contended with a draw with our current squad.pepe Reina pull out a few crucial safe too!It made such a big difference when Benayoun was on the pitch!

He's been doing that a lot, the head to the heavens, wince on his face reaction.

I don't remember him doing that in the earlier part of his career?

It's a big crush sometimes, Torres and Gerrard, our best players but sometimes they prefer to complain and whine rather than bring the remaining 9 players to their level.

If only they were like Reina

in the early part of the game, SG was whipping in the dangerous crosses from corners and the wings. But somehow his influence waned as the match progressed and i thought he was sub out .. (he just disappeared frm the game).. except for his few long range shots which dint trouble given anyway.. another disappointing performance from the capt tis season.. i think in his inner mind, maybe he has been deeply affected by the loss of xabi and the CL exit/ american boss shit??..

But there is still alot of football to be played for the 4th spot.. and its reli EXCITING for the 4th spot tis year with spurs, manc, villa all possible to get it.. sigh..

Must say i'm disappointed it's not show live. Was watching the match at 12 only to realised it's not live during half-time. Went on soccernet to check that the final score is the half time score. Not much point watching the 2nd half at all. Glad we are picking up points still, in the fight for 4th spot.

It's live on Ch 21...half hour delayed telecast on FC, dont know why??

A very tense match. I think we were put off by the Blackburn tackles and fouls and never could get into stride.
