My experience in Batam (just there) taught me that not all things "forbidden" by Muslim rules are really "taboo" for the average people. At least my experience with Indonesian Muslim ladies (in Malaysia or stricter areas it can be different) taught me the following scale of prohibition priorities, where the higher is the number, the stricter is the prohibition:

1) Not wearing hijab
2) Having sex NSA ("no strings attached")
3) Drinking alcohol
4) Not fasting on Ramadan
5) Eating pork

In other words, many Muslim girls in Batam do not wear hijab, but virtually ZERO Muslim ladies would consider to eat pork.

I met several ladies who do not wear hijab, but are strictly faithful to their husband. (fail 1, ok 2-5)
It is possible, yet extremely unlikely, to meet a lady with hijab in a mall and take her to the room. Notmally it's impossible.

I met several ladies who had sex with me without thinking twice, or were sex workers, but they were drinking only soft drinks at pub or disco. Strictly NO alcohol, but they have sex every day. (fail 1-2, ok 3-5)

Most of the ladies who had sex with me, and were also drinking cocktails, strictly fast during Ramadan. Out of question to eat something at day time. Fasting is very important. You can drink alcohol often, but on Ramadan you'll comply to fasting.(fail 1-3, ok 4-5)

I believe their Strictly No alcohol is becoz they dont like the taste and not used to drink alcohol. Not becoz of religious beliefs. You try tell them, drink one glass of beer, will get one free pill of esctasy, you see they drink or not.

One day i was waiting for my OC at the coffee opposite BCS.
