Secret Code of OKTs
Ever wonder why OKTS don't just call $80 an $80 session or call it a 1/2 hr session? Here's why. When the OKT says, "做小的“ , he isn't referring to the price, the price is $80. He is referring to the customer. Eg. 美美, 来, 做小的。Means '"Meimei, please come and do this small shit (aka wanton mee)." ”半台“ means 1/2 a session. One session is $150, whether you go in 10 mins or 50 mins. 1 session is the BASIC order. But some guys are so dirt poor (I mean 'busy'), they can't even afford the ONE session. You have to halve it for them. 1/2 a session. Eg. 美美，半台。 Means "Meimei, please come and do this jialat (sorry, I mean 'busy') case who can only afford 1/2 a session." MOST customers order the base of 1 session and add on from there. The OKT simply says, "美美, 签名." Means "Meimei, please sign the book." Nothing more needs to be said as this is the STANDARD order. Most times, the OKT doesn't even say anything and just waves her over to the counter to sign. Only for the special kids, the OKT must do extra work, open his mouth and give extra instructions to the WL. Ie. Meimei, please note that this one is a special case. He is not the standard customer that walks in but a 小人。The WL must also do extra work and acknowledge that she heard the instruction. This is NOT the STANDARD customer. 1/2 hour ONLY. Everybody must do extra work for the guy with no money. And then still drop his bloody food on the floor. If you want to know who is busy wanton mee, hang out at NTUC Foodfare. Look out for the coward asking the hawker for 1/2 a plate of chicken rice for $1.50 because he is in a rush; and then giving them feedback on how they should display their chicken and adjust their lighting for better business.
