Bring a few friends to New Spa to entertain them & since bro nono1973 ask me help him get the latest price list, so here it is..

1 HJ with 1.5 hr massage = 383k
2 HJ with 1.5 hr massage = 403k
2 HJ with 1.5 hr massage + hot & cold treatment = 453k

Extend 45 mins = 212k

Price stated is all after 30% disc.

Free use of facilities like hot/cold pool, sauna & O2 room; there would be other promotion on April,according to the GROs ,so price i share might varies.

Note that cashier staffs cannot openly tell u the package price now, when u are not committed to even taking the facilities deal. They will refer guest to the 6th floor to talk to a GRO who would do all the explanation. They knew abt the raids if not careful or when they become too popular. The hotel took down most of New Spa 's banner from their web too.

Personal advise, don't bother taking up the 383k package even when u can only manage to release once since the difference is only 20k & since bro nono1973 says he's paying my bill when i mail him the receipt, so i took up the most exp 453k package without thinking.

& fyi, Venus Spa manager resign from Venus & jump ship to New Spa recently, so expect lots of similarity. I got lucky & got an ex Delta young girl who started work first day. Becos of yr recommendation & my good luck, i'll refund u back 50% off the package i took.

Please take note it's already a trend that 'package deal' that come with free hj don't consist of roaming, full/half strip & other plus plus. The friend i bring takes the 383k package, end up Lan Lan extend another 45 mins at 212k extra + another 200k for top/bottom roaming.

For me, i didn't extend, but top up 100k for all above "extras" + 100k personal tip for her good job. She's so young & such a cutie pie.

Before we left, we complain to the GRO on the 212k extension being too expensive & likely deter us from returning again. 1.5 hr massage, during the first hour session,they start calling the room to ask if we wish to extend. 4 of us in this trip, 2 needs to extend. I & another bro who took up 2 HJ package didn't extend. So my 2 other friends who paid for the lowest package end up paying more than us & they are not happy.

I ask them send their FRs to u for details.

Not too sure on that today but should be around say, 300k rupiah? (its up to individual) The last time i was there few years back was around 250k rupiah tho,even got friend (who's those not-so-touchy kind) tip 200k rupiah too.

I have always my hp in hand, writing or reading messages or playing, and I do it standing or walking in front of taxi drivers. I simply do not mind about them.

last week I stayed Evitel hotel
weird thing is agoda din ask me to review
maybe they know I gona rate it low

breakfast - below average. daily have fried rice and noodle or bee hoon, which is what I liked. Besides there are 2 dishes. Seems like vegetarian but the indon style not too appealing to me.

location - short walking distance to Nagoya hill. Like one of the reviewer said, have to cross the 2-way busy road. Traffic light or zebra crossing is basically ignored.

Room - ok


Noticed Monday is especially quiet even at Nogoya mall.

From Ferry terminal to Hotel, i usually ask the hotel to pick me up (most time its free). Harbour Bay Ferry terminal taxi cost 30k rupiah from official taxi stand (still, ALWAYS double check price before boarding any taxi/s), definitely more worth than walking out of ferry terminal to wait for Go-Car on a sunny/rainy day (unless its sunset time).

From hotel to anywhere else, just use Go-Car or Grab. From Mall back to hotel, if i am carrying lots of shopping bags or heavier stuffs, i would just let the taxi outside the mall earn. I cant be winning all the time when it comes to saving money,hehehe...in Batam, its more on convenience versus pricing for a taxi ride. If i forgo convenient, things tends to be cheaper but if i want convenient, it would cost more. I devise my own "best of both world",hehehe...by picking the right hotel and the most suitable ferry terminal (for myself).

Let's not forget the language barrier between myself versus Go-Car and Grab,then again there's also Silver cab and Blue bird taxi too.

There is in fact one thing i will NEVER do with taxi drivers, that is i will NEVER negotiate a full day taxi pricing at any ferry terminal or outside shopping mall (especially so for Nagoya Hill Mall). Drivers there do not deserve good business,hehehe...they are worst of its kind in Batam.

("worst of its kind in Batam" mentioned above do not mean they are bad people,just worst over the same trade; and worst is a strong word)

I speak base on personal experience and as one single tourist.

A lot ,as in REALLY a lot of Go Car or Grab drivers dont give this information to the customers voluntarily (not experience enough,i guess) becos they were at most time driving a different color car and/or on different car number plate stated on the web,hehehe... i think its a kind of like a culture.

Best is to get the full vehicle description thats coming to pick me up via a phone call.

True, i get shouted at countless times by taxi touts becos of this. Some even threatened me (its a 100% threatening tone,even when i dont understand what they said)...hehehe...today, i simply walk to the nearest hotel to ask my girl help me dial a Go-Car. I dont speak bahasa, hence i cannot dial a Grab or Go-Car.
