I think its normal. We generally feel awkward meeting new people be it at work and such. Even though can talk all sorts of stuff online ya. hehe. We are Singaporean after all. haha.

Usually if you can click while chatting online, I feel it's a matter of getting more comfortable after chatting, dinnering and stuff. After that the 2nd meet up will be more comfy.

Accept and embrace the awkwardness of meeting a person for the first time. If the guy is worth anything, he will know how to make you comfortable and at ease quickly. If two person can connect well, the awkwardness will dissipate quickly. If both are awkward in an unfunny, uncute way (i.e. keep asking are you ok) and cannot get out of the awkwardness, then perhaps accept there is no connection or attraction.
