Yes bro what she said is true. You need some gym and weight training to complement your running regime. It's to strengthen your core muscles and toughen the bone mass. I ran 5 days a week and with 2 lighter days doing strength and muscle training either om in the gym or at home.

Thank you for the confirmation. I am not looking at building a nice slim body like the younger brothers here.

So I keep thinking that I do not need a gym. Now I learn that I am wrong. So I can even use the small gym in my condo if I need to. I just need some simple weight to train the core and toughen the bone mass. Thank you.

Hahaha yes bro I am not looking for a lean body, for a person who is hitting 50 soon and able to complete a 10km run below 60mins I am happy with my all in one tummy, keeping fit and able to sustain bed performance will make me a happy man.

Actually you don't need a gym to train strong core muscles, try calisthenics, use your own body weight I prefer this as it gives me a lean body with less risk of injury as compared to weights.

Strength training is good but the bros here are right because you do not need to go to gym to train that unless your objective is to bio in the gym.

For me, I do my most of my training on slow & easy runs. The 70% (easy), 25~30% (aerobic) , 5% (speed) on weekly basis.

In my late 40s, going more for long distance like Full and ultra marathon instead. These days also no longer running in shoes.

Gosh trust me. I perform well in bed. My problem is that I am in bed alone nowadays. hahaha.

So the only exercise that know that I perform well is sleep. I can sleep for 20 hours continuously. hahaha.

Hahaha good for you bro, really envy that you can sleep well. On top of keeping fit one of the reason for me to exercise is to sleep well too but my body clock just tuned to a max of 6 hours sleeping time, no matter what time I sleep my body alarm will sound exactly at the 6th hour

hahaha. Mine is worse. I cannot sleep before 4 am. Once I sleep, I lost control and sometimes oversleep until 2 pm and miss my meetings in the morning. hahaha.
